My girlfriend’s parents made reservations here for us at the Hibachi Grill for a Saturday night. They were given two options: 8pm or 4:30pm, as all other slots were sold out. I figured that was a good sign. Unfortunately, I was quite wrong. — We arrived at 7:40pm and checked in. Host gave us a buzzer and invited us to wait at the bar until our seats at the grill were ready. — Bartender never arrived to take our order; he looked to be brand new, because every drink he was making required a lengthy consult with a black binder. I’m guessing he didn’t know how to make any drinks at all. — We were seated just after 8pm in a *very, very cold* room. It was so cold, they had a Honeywell space heater in the corner near our seats… it showed an ambient temperature of 62 °F. It was so cold that I put on my winter coat and hat about a quarter of the way through the experience. — There were two«servers» that«attended» to the 16 people or so that were seated around the two grills. One was a larger gentleman with glasses, a tattooed neck(I have dozens of tats; no problems with them), and a shaved head. He was extremely unprofessional — rushed everyone, forgot several items, and just seemed very unhappy to be there. The other was a female who was better, but I think she was feeding off the other guy’s vibe. Meals at the grill include: choice of soup(miso or clear), a very small«salad»(100% iceberg lettuce with a heavy dose of salty/sweet/artificial-tasting dressing, and two shrimp. From there, you pick your main course — options include: chicken, salmon, shrimp, scallops, ribeye, tenderloin, or lobster. All include hibachi vegetables. — Chefs were a mixed bag. Younger guy was proficient, but had zero personality. No jokes, no smiles, no chatter, nothing. Just«all business.» Older guy had some personality, but not a ton. Neither did many tricks with spatulas; they did light an onion volcano on fire, but that was about it. — Tenderloin was good, but only because it wasn’t drowned in the«brown sauce» that accompanied *everything* else from the grill. Our group of four ordered a little of everything: shrimp, scallops, chicken — all were *drenched* in this sugary, salty sauce. All tasted exactly the same, as a result. — Veggies were well cooked, but again… were swimming in this mysterious sauce. I shudder to think of how bad that sauce must be for you. — Meal took about 1-hour from start to finish. «Servers» were bad about refills, and despite me asking 3 times for a slice of lime, it never came. — The biggest insult: the price. Our group of four had a total of one drink(a vodka/tonic; the rest of us had water) and four grill meals. The total, before tip: $ 143. UNREAL. I really didn’t want to tip because the«servers» were that bad. But they share tips with the chefs, so I ended up leaving one of the worst tips I’ve ever left in my lifetime… 12%. Sorry, Chang… your servers need serious coaching, you need to warm-up the place, your chefs need more flair, and you need to get realistic about your pricing. Oh, and lay off of that brown goo sauce.

Awesome sushi. It’s always such a treat to get good sushi in this area. Really nice private booths too.

Best Chinese place in town! Everything I’ve had I have loved. Particularly I love their general tsos, honey-garlic chicken, sweet & sour, fried rices, all their sushi, egg drop soup. crab rangoon, spring rolls, & more. They might be a little more expensive but still affordable and it’s super delicious so you can’t go wrong.

The Kim Kardashian of Chinese restaurants in northern Wisconsin. Every sip of soup had me wanting, no, begging for more. Real authentic Chinese people serving food made it feel like I was sitting atop a lil pad sipping on oolong tea in a southwest province of China.

Stale frozen food service quality cuisine. House Lo Mein was made with fettuccine noodles, three shrimp, no pork or beef … gummy. Egg rolls are bready and tasted freezer burned. Pork egg food young was egg & cornstarch pillow(two not three, previously frozen) with slices of roast pork laying on top. The roast pork was good and the sauce was flavorful, but by no stretch of the imagination is this egg foo young. Six pot stickers to an order were also from frozen and very tough, the dipping sauce was almost all vinegar. The décor is lovely. Staff was friendly. Clean restrooms. Too bad the food was awful.

Got the sushi special. $ 30 and it looked and tasted like it just wasn’t freshly made. Looked like it sat there for a few hours. Some of the sushi did look fresh. Tasted ok to good. Have had better. My order had the chefs choice for what goes into it. It seemed as if he just picked the easiest blandest nigri and rolls to throw in it. Stick with the special rolls. Stay away from the sushi special

Not expensive, more than enough food for what you pay, and it’s delish! It’s my go to for Chinese food. Seems kinda slow inside, but pick up always only takes 15 minutes!

Chose Chang Garden among all the other choices in the area, and glad we did. Crab Rangoon, fresh and hot. BBQ Ribs, moist and tender. Bacon wrapped Shrimp delicious with the right amount of crisp to the bacon. We had the Broccoli and Beef and the Crispy Duck for dinner. Crispy Duck was a great sized portion of tender, juicy duck with a crispy skin, needing no additional flavoring. The Broccoli and Beef used good beef, not the cheap mealy stuff so often used. All this for an excellent price. We will return next time we are in the area.

When our food arrived, we were quick to point out it had been made incorrectly. Our server was equally quick to blame the cook(«I told them not to make it that way.») He said he would have it re-made. When the new plate arrived it was evident that someone had simply picked out the offending ingredient. What remained was undercooked and, frankly, overpriced. The building and atmosphere were wonderful, but the poor staffing drags them down. This is the first time I’ve ever eaten in a Chinese restaurant where I have cleared my plate and still left hungry. Will not return, would not recommend.

The sushi here is delicious. They have basic Chinese-American dishes other than this, all very good, but not necessarily incredibly authentic. The bar is cozy and the fish tanks add a modern touch. I prefer the Weston Chang’s to the downtown location. Pros: –Casual and great for drinks. Can eat at bar. –Well prepared and fresh food, including sushi/sashimi. –Atmosphere is fun and Asian with a modern twist. Large, comfy booths. –Wait staff has been hit or miss. For the most part, I’ve been happy with the service. Cons: –Bar stools could be mended a bit. Starting to look a bit worn. –They reduced the sushi/sashimi menu. –Patrons tend to sit on the right side of the bar, which is awkward when you have large groups try to cram in next to you with the entire left side open.

Ordered take-out from here while staying at a nearby hotel for a conference. The food was very good(I had the barbecue spare ribs, hot and sour soup, and Szechuan shrimp). The food was prepared quickly and was ready for me when I arrived. The dining area also looked nice.

Did not expect good sushi in Weston(Wausau) WI but I was very pleased with my rolls. Meal was very good too. Décor was fancy and new. Service great and food was well presented and cooked well. I have eaten at their other location in downtown Wausau and enjoyed the Weston location much better. More space and much more up to date, and the food seemed to taste better too… Can really say why?

First time there found food just OK, tom yum shrimp, but as other reviewer stated, bland. Nothing over the top for quality. General chinese american food. I was sick that evening and next morning, probably from the seafood. Next visit was to hibachi and frankly it is very over priced and so salty I could not detect the subtleties of the flavors. Way too salty. The chef seemed disinterested and didn’t put on the show one expects at a hibachi. Our $ 75 dinner for 2 could have been better spent elsewhere, maybe WISH. The service both times was pleasant and excellent. Our party was enjoying conversation and we were asked to move so they could accommodate other diners.
