I agree completely with Hula. While the doctors are great, whomever answers the phone is unnecessarily abrupt and rude. Example: I called to get a refill of my son’ Rx and after waiting on hold for a long time, was told I had to speak with a nurse who was not in. When asked if I could leave a message for a nurse, I was told«absolutely not.» Makes no sense. Ridiculous policy.

I have very mixed reviews about this place. When I call to get a nurse, I do get help within a reasonable time. The doctors are great, even when I don’t have my own doctor for emergencies. The front desk on the other hand is always rude. I have insurance that I pay for but everytime I come in, they always assume I am on MassHealth even though I tell them I am not, many times. I had to get a referral once, and they said none of their referral takes MassHealth… even after I keep telling them I have insurance. Asking the front desk for your kids medical history is like asking for a HUGE favor that they charge for. So in summary, many places I find has similar issues where the front desk always drops the ball.

Be prepared for no one to know ANYTHING they’re talking about if you call this office. You will be put on hold for 5 minutes then confused by many misconceptions about what they can and can’t do for you.

I have a 9 month old and so I’ve been at this practice quite a bit over the past 9 months. I selected the practice when I was pregnant based on my PCP’s recommendation. After delivering my baby I selected a specific doctor(Dr. Landis) due to rave reviews from the nurses at the hospital(not part of his practice but just knew him because of his affiliation with the hospitral). Landis wasn’t on duty the weekend I had my baby so we were seen by Dr. Zackin. Very nice guy, a little odd but very nice. Our first in office visit was with Dr. Landis and he was thorough, great with the baby and decent with me. My baby was slow to gain weight back so we had visits twice a week for a couple weeks. Then just short of 3 months she came down with a fever. We went into the office that day and were told to go directly to the emergency room if things didn’t get better in the evening. Unfortunately we had to go to the ER but in the end everything was okay, just a case of bronchiolitis. We had to go back to the office for several check-ins, some with doctors other than Landis. Fast forward to today where I noticed a growth under my daughter’s tongue. Before I could put pants on my baby I was in the car and calling the office. Told them I could be there in 5 minutes. They gave me a slot 8 minutes from then. I walked in and they were ready for me. We saw Dr. Maureen Filippine, what a sweetheart. She pulled Dr. Landis in when he was available just to show him the growth. They both worked together to try to figure out what it is. I am just very impressed with this practice. The office morale seems great too — everyone is pleasant with one another and with the patients. I have NEVER had to wait more than 2 minutes in the waiting room, and usually don’t even have to go to the waiting room. They have a sick room and a clean room which I like. As for the lady who says her doctor called her daughter a boy, I don’t know how that can be because in the first few appointments they check the genitals… The practice also has a great computer system and I’m amazed at how all the docs we saw when my baby was sick at 3 months knew exactly what was going on and didn’t ask me any questions I had already answered — that would have pissed me off royally.

I have been coming here with my two daughters for 15 years. The best part of this office is the fact that they have doctors available 365 days a year, and they have evening appointments. Every time I have called with a sick child, I am able to get an appointment within hours. I schedule all check ups in the evenings so I don’t have to miss work. It has been worth the 20 minute commute to Weston from Framingham all these years. I would highly recommend the practice to parents who need flexibility.

My particular doctor, called my daughter a boy every appointment up until her 15 month well visit. He had no idea who we were, and I had to remind him of my concerns,(ie family allergies etc), every time we visited. He seemed to be very annoyed when my baby cried and raced out of the room after administering the vacinations. Bed side manner was lacking to say the least. Positives are they are always on time, and the nurses are super sweet. Pretty clean office too, with a sick baby and well baby waiting room(although you rarely wait!). Dr. Haya Y. and Dr. Landis are great, and I would’ve switched to them in a heartbeat, but felt uncomfortable that I may run into my original dr. if I did. Best I can tell, he never even noticed I left the practice, and couldn’t have cared less that I came or went.
