We came here because of my dad, because I’m not a buffet person even in the nicest corners of town. So we came on a Sunday afternoon, meaning it was packed because the location is tiny seating capacity is 65. The place is Asian Fusion and serves both sushi and hibachi along with a few other things. We didn’t wait terribly long and as soon as we were sat waiter came by and took our drink and hibachi orders. Hibachi and soup come with the buffet price, and while my dad was the only one who ordered it he opted for shrimp instead of chicken. As for the buffet it’s Sushi, a variety of standard order rolls, salad, a hot station and dessert. Again this place is tiny, like bump elbows with your neighbor tiny so if you hate cramped locations avoid it. The food is okay, nothing to rave about. Again, I’m not a buffet person I don’t like food that’s been heated or chilled for hours that everyone picks at. The sushi was eh, I’ve had better and the taste was lacking a bit. The tuna nigiri was the best piece I had, but I had pulled pieces the chef had just put down. Crab Rangoon was the best thing off the hot bar, and the green tea ice cream wasn’t horrific but again I have had better. The place is nothing to write home about and my third star is for service since all the workers were kind, friendly and attentive other than that food wasn’t great and the location isn’t great either. I know they have 2 other locations but this location is tiny, and it’s just not appetizing.

The most disgusting place ever. The steak taste so bad, and the rest of the food is not good at all. I’ll never go there again.

POC buffet and grill would have you passing by easily if you did not know it was in the corner of an inconspicuous strip mall, but once you park and find yourself inside, the journey will have been worth it. A small footprint and closely knit, yet not overcrowded if you go at the right time, POC offers a great variety of tastes that are fresh and well made. First, you can choose to sit either inside or out and either offers a nice and close walk to the main serving stations, this is a plus as you will want to go back again and again. We came with a party of eight and having a reservation, had no problems with each of us getting up easily to access the buffet. The sushi was plentiful and full of options, but if you are not into the raw style, they do have tempura style with cooked meats or veggies and then surely all the hot, more traditional, Americanized, Asian entrée selections. From beef to chicken, to salmon to lots of ice cream, the choices really are endless. You can also order with the included price, as much hibachi as you please, you just need to alert your server. Hot tea is not included but added for a nominal price; well worth it. Go early, and often, and you and a party even will enjoy the POC.

This is one of my favorite sushi buffets in the area! They have a great selection and the sushi is always fresh. I’ve been multiple times and never have been disappointed, I will say that it is pricier than other sushi buffets in the area but i do believe it’s because you’re paying for quality and freshness. Definitely something that I would recommend for everyone to try out. The lunch price is very reasonable but I would recommend that you get there early because the wait can be quite long.

Sushi and buffet don’t mix in my mind… I must say POC’s buffet was mediocre, maybe because I’ve been to good Asian buffet in Vegas or Flashing or 34th street… with that said, people working here are extremely nice and attentive, probably best service I received in Weston. Also Hibachi shrimp was definitely worth my money.

Went for the first time last night. The sushi is very fresh & there is a pretty big variety of food. Great restaurant. Will return!

First time here. Gotta say that the sushi bar was great. Very flavorful but can’t say the same for the rest. The fruit bar was as expected half ripe fruits and here’s the kicker. For me «THE» most rudest thing a server an do to me is to bring the check before I’m actually done eating. This thin tall Asian server that probably just started his shift brought the check as I sat down with my plate of fruits. I don’t care if it looks like I’m almost done. Wait till I actually ask for the check, you ?$&@!!! PS the soups were horrible. PSS You know, I rather have so so tasting food with great service than what I had today.

I’ve never been huge into buffets, especially not seafood/sushi ones, but POC is pretty much the only exception in my book. I work for a fresh seafood import company, so you can say I’m a bit of a seafood snob when it comes to quality and freshness. POC’s variety of fresh sushi and sashimi is great. Their sushi rolls and fish sashimi always tastes fresh. I can’t say much about their hot foods and hibachi, as I’ve only gone for the sushi buffet, but my co-workers have said good things about both. I love their take-out. You walk right in, ask for a take-out box(or two) and load it with all your favorite rolls and sashimi and just pay by the pound. For a buffet, I give them two thumbs up for their variety of sushi rolls and the freshness & quality of their seafood.

This is a Chinese/sushi buffet in Weston off bonaventure. It is located in the middle of a shopping center next to Walgreens. Upon entering you will be greeted and brought to a table. They will take your drink choice and ask if you want soup or hibachi. The soup and hibachi are included in the buffet. For soup the choices are usually wonton, miso, or carrot. For hibachi you can have shrimp or chicken. At the buffet they have a very extensive sushi bar with sashimi and different rolls. At the end there is seaweed salad, a fish salad with sushi, and edamame. On the other side of the buffet is the Chinese food. Across from the Chinese food are the dessert which include ice cream, cake, and various fruit. It is always delicious and very impressive.

I have to say this place has gotten better every year. I’ve been eating from POC for about 5 years now. Today February 13, 2015 has got to be the best experience I’ve ever had!

When you’re starving, buffet is always a good idea. Unfortunately, POC didn’t exactly hit the spot. They don’t offer steak as a hibachi option, which is one of my go-to’s. So I ordered shrimp, and it was not good. It just didn’t taste good, as if the shrimp wasn’t fresh. As for the sushi, I’m always weary of sushi at buffets because you never know how long the pieces have been sitting out. I still try them anyway, though. I found some good ones and was very glad to since my hibachi was a fail. Apparently, the other POC location is better so next time, I may just go there instead.

After forty-five minutes of quite possibly the worst buffet food that my digestive tract now has the unfortunate task of breaking down, I have decided to exercise my freedom of speech since this poor excuse of a restaurant has the freedom to exist. The overall interior looks like the inside of an abandoned pizzeria that had friends with benefits relationship with a gas station sushi selection — in other words, my eyes lost its appetite before my stomach. With this in mind, the temperature was truly unfit for sushi at 80 f’n degrees(the lights above the sushi do not help its fight for survival to remain even slightly edible). My experience with their sushi is equivalent to having a club whack my stomach to the point where the pain is more satisfying than their offerings. The«hot» entrees were also humorous because you would have to be devoid of any nerve endings to admit to yourself that anything served was even remotely close to a «warm» temperature. The fried food was cold, the stir-fry dishes were cold, the lo-mein was made with linguine noodles(hence my abandoned Italian restaurant comment), how can you open your doors to customers at lunch time(where you would expect the food to be fresh) knowing they’ll eat whatever you serve them? Being an Asian-American who most likely knows better than more than half of their Westonian clientele, truly I can say that I pity them due to not knowing any better in terms of quality Asian cuisine. If you are looking for«Pristine.Opulent.Cuisine», this is definitely NOT the place as it truly is what the recent reviewer called it — a «Piece.Of.Crap». I can only give this place a ONE star which honestly is still doing it a positive service because I would rip this establishment off the face of the Earth as I truly feel it is better to eat dog food than here. They did not pay me, but quite frankly they do not have to — if you want QUALITY Japanese buffet fare, do yourself the courtesy and go to Santos Buffet in Coconut Creek. You will eat well and leave happy unlike here where I ate miserably and left wanting to punch the next customer who walked in saying«this is the best sushi place ever!»

After hearing about a certain sushi buffet in town having to close down due to health code violations, I was weary about going to another sushi buffet. Unfortunately, I wasn’t overly impressed with this establishment and will probably hold off on dining at sushi buffets for a while. First off, the layout here is just weird. I’m not sure if they got the space and decided to not renovate it to fit the flow of a buffet style restaurant but maneuvering around here is just weird. They have two separate dining areas that are separated by a narrow doorway. The main dining area had the buffet off to the side but if this place got busy, there would be a lot of awkward«excuse me, ma’am» or «excuse me, sir» moments. The lighting in here was off. There were parts of the restaurant that had a dark red hue due to the light fixtures they chose, and others had a yellow glow, and a few spots with fluorescent lighting. That, to me, is interior design gone wrong. Now the food. It wasn’t so bad. Some of the fish did actually taste pretty fresh and if I were to come back I would probably aim to grab all the sashimi. I didn’t care much for the seared tuna and seared salmon. They were pretty salty and pretty soggy from sitting in too much sauce. The sushi rolls weren’t as inventive as they could have been, and the staple rolls that most places offer weren’t too impressive(dynamite roll wasn’t crisp, rainbow roll had odd tasting avocado on top). I also had crab legs(I’d give them an applause for these because they were good); some version of a honey walnut shrimp(too much mayo and no walnuts); string beans(it’s really hard to mess this dish up so I was glad it was ok); and tempura(broccoli and shrimp were done well and not super greasy, props for having warm tempura sauce on the side in a thermos). The fruit selection was too appealing looking because all the fruit just looked dull in color and not ripe(and they tasted how they looked, no flavor at all). I also tried a little of their crème brûlée and it was on the sweeter side, but they had an awesome jello dish. Service here was slow. They had tons of servers walking around and glancing at the patrons dining, but even with all that, I had to personally call them over three times to ask for my tea to be refilled. I understand if they were busy or if I had to call them once. But three times? That just goes to show that they were pretty inattentive and not observing about the customers’ needs. My boyfriend and I paid almost $ 50 for this buffet experience. Needless to say, we weren’t floored with this place, but we sure did eat our money’s worth in weight, not necessarily quality.

A great place to get sushi for lunch without breaking the bank. Buffet style but still was fresh and delicious. They also had a hot buffet and dessert section too. Recommended to us by the guy who picked us up from enterprise to rent a car while on vacation… fantastic recommendation!

OVERALL: Waste of money. I used to love coming here, but the quality of everything has dropped. Sushi variety was terrible, the flavor was horrible, and the service sucked. THESUSHI: No variety whatsoever. Everything looked old and tasted worse than it looked. They had tamago(egg sushi) that I didn’t even dare try because looking at it made me just imagine the stomach ache that would follow. THEFOOD: Ok so normally I don’t get French Fries at a Japanese Restaurant because I’d rather eat sushi, but since the sushi tasted terrible I decided to give the french fires a try. They. Were. Super. Duper. Stale! Like I’m scared because I have no idea how old they were. I did try the rice and was pleased that I found it edible, so between the hibachi and the fried rice I was able to actually eat, but still I am a long time customer at POC and now I’m very disappointed with the quality of everything at POC.

I was pleasantly surprised by this Sushi buffet. Typically I don’t do buffets, but was invited by my daughter and her boyfriend. I loved the quaint location in the corner with indoor/outdoor seating. The atmosphere was very traditional, very welcoming and our waiter was very attentive to our drink needs and took away our dirty plates often! The restaurant was very clean, the sushi was fresh with a wide variety of choices. Loved their fruit bar. Although I had none, their dessert bar looked very yummy. Lunch buffet is really affordable at only $ 12.99 a person. Dang, you can’t even get that price from Publixs take-and-go sushi. Being a sushi lover I will defiantly be back!

We used to love coming to this restaurant but we feel that the quality has gone down considerably in the past few months. Today the none of the food tasted fresh and the service was terrible, nobody came by our table even once to clear up our plates or freshen our beverages, so we had an awkward pile of plates in the middle of the small table for 2. They were not particularly busy either, so no excuse for the poor service. We will sadly NOT visit this restaurant again.

Why would you ever choose to go anywhere else but here for sushi? This restaurant is the most amazing little place I have encountered. It is not a big place with a lot of variety but their sushi is top notch high-quality sushi. It really is worth the money, the crazy role is the best. The staff is really attentive and wonderful at customer service. Every time I have taken a friend or family they fall in love. I also love getting their food by the pound because I get a variety of sushi at a great price.

If you want a great Sushi Experience go somewhere else. «But wait! You gave it a 4 star rating!» You exclaim. That’s right! Authentic sushi experience? No. Stuff your face with a variety of deep fried, spicy mayo drenched, super crunchy sushi rolls until you burst? Yes. All for pretty cheap, especially when you consider you’ll go into a coma that will prevent you from spending any money for the next 24 hours, it’s pretty cost effective. The regular sushi(raw fish on a ball of rice) is ok, but you can eat as much of it as they can pump out. You also have some mediocre Chinese food in the hot buffet area. Don’t forget the ice cream bar! Also don’t go close to 4 pm on a Sunday. They will kick you out before you have fully gorged yourself. If they don’t want customers in there past a certain time they should stop taking them sooner, they gave us 10 minutes to do our damage. For better quality sushi I go to Sushi Japon which is next to the Flanigans. But POC does have its place when I’m craving junk food sushi!

Not quite what I was expecting. Came here for lunch after checking out some of the hype from different POC locations and wanted to give this one a try. Walking in to here I can first say that it was small. Upon looking through their selections of sushi and other buffet items it would be no surprise that there wasn’t anything extraordinary which proved correct. Most of the sushi there were ‘safe’. Safe as in nothing adventurous apart from the casual krab, fried, and cream cheese filling. Didn’t have enough in me to make more rounds for 2nd tastings. A bigger disappointment was the dessert section where it seems as though it wasn’t much to it besides the Chinese buffet donuts(no, they were not thai donuts) with a cherry sauce and their custard. I was left convoluted at how there were also a bowl of lollipops for dessert, my first time seeing this in a buffet. A filler? I don’t know. Anyhow, one key remark I can say about this restaurant is that the service was very attentive and at times too persistent to the point of taking your plate off your hands while you’re still using it(oops). With that being said, it wasn’t enough to get me to come back here.
