I used a groupon for these services. The techs were good. They did not talk throughout the service, which I appreciate. However, the services were limited. During the facial there was no massage of the neck and hands which is normally done. There were no robes, slippers or other little amenities. The facilities seemed clean but cramped. All in all, I paid less then the Red Door right across the street but got a lot less. It is equivalent to a beauty palor salon not a day spa.

I found this place thanks to a gift of a massage and body scrub from someone who loves me — and a bargain(he bought a Groupon). Like many Groupon venues, I never would have found this place otherwise. And like many Groupon venues, I am not sure I would come back. Don’t get me wrong, overall the experience was very good– I just would not pay full price for it, and in this case, I paid nothing at all, so I was grateful. The venue is actually a set of small rooms on the first floor of a building in the Vacation Villages complex in Weston. It consists of 2 small service rooms and a modest area where they do nails. There are nice little touches throughout to make it feel more sumptuous than it is — little table top fountains for that falling water effect, some bamboo and candles and stuff. But, in the end I could not help but wish I was in the more spacious and plush Red Door Spa just up the street. They specialize in a hot stone massage– which I chose as my Groupon upgrade. The masseuse was skillful and attentive. It was great she determined I needed another 2 or 3 massages to get the ginormous knots out of my neck. I did come back another day for a mini facial — the second part of my Groupon. It turned out to be a 30 minute service that did not include steam and extractions(the main reason i get facials). Apparently the mini facial is meant to be a stop over in between your monthly facials. Well, if I could afford monthly facials, I would not get them here. No offense, but I like a little more pampering: plush robe and slippers, lemon/ginger water, a meditation room… ok, so I’m high maintenance — but If I’m gonna splurge on some spa action, that’s what I want and what I expect. So– this place is not a special destination, but totally acceptable if you happen to be staying at Vacation Villages or nearby. Make note that the prices are some 20% less than the Red Door Spa at the Westin a few blocks away — but as always, you do get what you pay for.
