I’m giving Westpoint Steakhouse 3 Stars because I think they are better than our experience. I’m writing a review now verses after another visit because I don’t want anyone to get blindsided like we did. We were aware that they had a limited«specials only» menu Wednesday, but unaware of the children’s Karaōke that started at 6. I’m sure many people would enjoy this, but it is not what we went for. It was very loud, and we were not able to visit with family like we wanted. They were busy and short staffed due to illness, so it took over an hour and a half to get through the experience, which would have been fine if not for the very loud attempts at singing that prevented us from having a conversation. The food, we hope it was an off night with the call offs as well. Ribs were decent, better than the chain restaurants and priced well. Specials menu only allows one side from a very limited selection– salad, fries, cole slaw or potato salad. Two of our party had the 8oz ribeye, we would have liked a thicker cut, even if it meant a higher price. The steaks were cooked ok, and came on two pieces of plain toast. Not sure why. Didn’t appear to have any type of seasoning on the steak. We have friends that have been here on Friday/Saturday and report much better experiences. We will give them another try on one of those days to see.

Bar type food only when I went. Decent drink quality. Had a few and karaoked… always fun. Friendly staff, clean bathrooms. And they have a mechanical bull — ;) R. -

Great food. We love this place. The brisket is my favorite. Open for lunch also in bar area with seating for families too.

The West Point Steak House is a local dive that has a big following. The menu features basic items like steak, fish and ribs, served without frills. There are daily specials that feature a little bit more flair. I had walleye fillet served with peach salsa. the walleye was cooked to perfection, but I struggled with the occasional fish bone, and the fillet was not properly scaled. Bones I can deal with — but scales? The peach salsa was fresh and enjoyable, and the fish had a bit of hot seasoning on top. I also ordered the vegetable of the day which was grilled zucchini with peppers and onions. The vegetables were cooked to perfection — firm and not mushy. My companion had a rib-eye steak cooked to her liking. We sat in the bar area(all nonsmoking establishment) because we had a large party. The wait staff were excellent, and never did we have to ask for a beverage refill. If not for the bones and scales on the fish I would rate this place higher. This was my first visit and I expect I’ll revisit.

I had dinner with my family here and everyone loved their meals! My son and I had steak and it was cooked to perfection. My other son and brother said that the wings were delicious(Wing Wednesday). The waitress even brought out a drink refill before I had to ask. GREAT food and a good community atmosphere!

I’ve ordered Pizza from this place in the past. Recently the piazzas have been burnt excessively on the crust. When I’ve called to place my order, I’d hear«your order will be ready in 15 to 20 minutes.» What they really meant, was once you arrive, you’ll wait an additional 20 to 40 minutes for someone to get around to making, then burning your Pizza. Arni’s is 10 minutes from the West Point Pizza King. Go there. The piazzas wont be burnt, and the service is SOMUCHBETTER.
