I had my first float today! I really can’t describe the sensation. probably because there isn’t any. It’s a nice space, very spa-like. David was very kind and knowledgeable, and was sure to show me everything in the room. I felt very very very relaxed after the float. I have to agree with the person who said its boring. You just have to zone out and not think about anything. An hour is just long enough. I was starting to get antsy and then it was time to get out of the tank. The only thing I wish they would do is repair the missing tiles in the shower. It just makes the space look a little shabby. Overall a good experience but not something I think I need to do often. Maybe once every couple of months.

IFloat Spa, just over an hour by train from NYC in downtown Westport Connecticut is a must visit, the best floatation center I’ve visited in the US after decades of floating. Four IMMACULATE private float rooms with showers, friendly professional staff led by owner David and a wonderfully calm and renewing environment(uniquely delicious herbal teas await post-floaters in a relaxing sunny room onsite). Optional personal growth & development classes are also offered as an interesting compliment to the floating experience. If you’ve never floated before JUSTDOIT; if you have, you’ll love iFloat. One of the most powerfully relaxing, restorative, enjoyable and therapeutic experiences you can treat yourself to; also a unique experience to share with loved ones and friends — they even have a 2 Floats For The Price of 1 on Tuesdays. A super investment in the highest ROI source – yourself.

I enjoyed the experience and staff were knowledgable and helpful. I’m perplexed as to everyone stating how clean the facility is though. This would’ve been 5 stars however my tank had large brown/black spots/growths around the inner tanks offwhite frame and around the tank on the seam. I thought at first that maybe the type of material used in the moulding was speckled so I used a cloth to wipe to see and sure enough it came off on the cloth. I’m highly sensitive to mold and really this shouldn’t be especially at $ 100 per float.

Ick! First went when they opened years ago. Didn’t like it then and never returned. I’ve been getting nice newsletters from new owner and decided to give it a try again. First of all, $ 100 to float for an hour is beyond excessive. Why it’s not priced around $ 50, doesn’t make sense. The long ass stairs you climb up from the parking lot with cobwebs in the hallway is off putting. Then, the experience while inside adds to that cobwebby feeling. It was completely desolate with the exception of one completely unwelcoming, unfriendly staff member. The word mausoleum comes to mind. There was no music like I experienced the first time though it did pop on towards the end. The first time I remember being able to choose Led Zeppelin. Floating is beyond boring especially when the vibe is like death in the space. Your exposed body parts are cold, which I remembered I didn’t like. Then when I tried to get a steamy hot shower, the water didn’t get hot all the way. Another thing I remembered I disliked. Truly, even at $ 50, I wouldn’t return. I’d rather watch paint dry. Though if it were Farrow & Ball paint, at least that might be more exciting than floating. I do wish the new management well.

I needed to do something about my stress level and somehow found ifloat. I purchased the 3 for price of 2 deal. My first float I gotta admit it did not help with stress. It’s totally dark with no sound so your mind gets really loud lol! But I’ll say that I don’t meditate or anything like that so slowing my mind is hard to do. My skin felt amazing afterwards, soft and supple due to the high Epsom salt levels used in tanks. The owner is very nice and the facility is nicely done and very clean. I just took my mom for a float and did my second session. Still not for me but my mom loved it. It’s something to try at least once!

Excellent experience, great personalized service. The magnesium bath salts are excellent for health and skin benefits. Great for your health, as people today tend to be lacking in dietary magnesium. The magnesium salts(Epsom Salts) are absorbed into your skin more easily than through a vitamin — look it up. It’s a strange but true and cool fact. Magnesium is good for people with arthritis, muscle pain, and auto-immune issues. Soaking in 1,000 pounds of the stuff is a sure way to get a boost. Floating in the body temperature water with body temperature air in the dark is like being on a space walk or in utero. Most relaxing and strangely odd experience ever. Cleared my mind of all stress. Tension headache gone. Other facilities that have small coffin-like«Pods» you soak in. But iFloat is like a little personal pool, you will not feel confined. It’s bigger than a hot tub and the area has high ceilings. The facilities were spotlessly clean and sanitary. You have a luxurious personal shower in your suite with natural shampoos and conditioners. Everyone showers before and after getting in the float tank. Prepare to spend at LEAST two hours and to be pampered. Your 60 – 90 minutes relaxing in salt luxury does not include your free spa showers, and relaxing tea afterward as your mind comes back down to earth. It was wonderful and the people who work there are sweethearts.

I had my first #iFloat session yesterday. The office is impeccably clean, with a gentle neutral color palette, very relaxing. It was hard to believe my session was 90 minutes — felt like 15 minutes. I was able to completely relax physically & mentally, and had the best nights sleep I’ve had in a very long while. I cannot wait for my next session.

As a yoga instructor I am always looking for new ways to calm my mind. When my husband and I saw Ifloat on groupon it immediately peeked my interest and we made an appointment. Upon arrival we were greeted by a friendly face and one of the owners, David. He made sure we knew exactly what to expect and recommended different ways to float to maximize our experience. I sadly can’t float naturally in my own pool, I always seem to sink so this was a interesting experience for me. It took me a few minutes to relax my neck and realize my head was not going to go under water. Regardless, once I did what David told me too, I was able to enjoy the rest of my float in complete relaxation. I highly recommend ifloat after a yoga session or a massage. It’s a wonderful compliment but is also great on its own. Whatever your relaxation ritual may be, this is a must try!

My floating experience at iFloat was incredible! I was unsure of what to expect, but David, who runs the floating spa with kindness and compassion, eased us into the foreign healing practice with care. The benefits of a float are incalculable. Stress relief, deep introspection, creative inspiration, and most importantly a deep connection with your own body and mind. I floated for 60 minutes and wished I would have stayed for longer. I was transported into a spiritual realm of self-discovery that was extremely beneficial to my mental health, and I cannot wait to float once more. Floating is one of the most beneficial healing practices I have ever encountered, and I have a lot of experience with Acupuncture, Herbal Medicine, Yoga, Massage, Chiropractic work, etc.

My experience at ifloat has been nothing short of awesome. Floating is meditative and relaxing. Like setting a reset button on the brain. Combine the floating experience with a clean, zen-like atmosphere, and warm friendly staff/owners, I can’t recommend the place more highly!

BEST spa concept in all of New England! A remarkable use of space, a talented eye for design, and most importantly, a brilliant idea. A haven for the busy person who wishes they could do more to live a conscious, clean, free and healthy life! An owner who cares, with an intelligent design, in a beautiful natural environment that is often overlooked by those visting the Shops in the area.

Beautifully decorated space with great proximity to downtown Westport. For those unfamiliar with the concept read John Lilly’s works. In short, one float can produce physical and mental rest way beyond anything else. Weekly floating will reduce stress, likely keep aging at bay, and deepen and self reflective or meditative practice.
