Brought my sunglasses in for repair after they were damaged during travel. I didn’t even buy there and they repaired for free. Awesome gesture!

Lovely store and fine service. What a pleasure it was to find the Optical Shop of Westport. All I needed was a simple repair for my 20-​year-​old reading glasses. Five minutes and several smiles later, I got my glasses back «all better». No charge for the service. Highly recommended! Thank you.

I needed a minor repair on the frame screw of my eye wear. Margret was gracious how she quickly handled the problem with a smile and greatest of ease. The shop is perfectly inviting with a beautiful selection of eye wear for all ages and lifestyles in a esthetically great store lay out. I will be back to purchase my next pair of glasses.

You wouldn’t know how cool this store is from the outside. They have a great variety of cool glasses… not your every day stuff. I’ve been working with Margharet and she has been very helpful in finding me something unique that fits my style. There are tons of choices, all much more interesting than the generic stuff you see at the big chain stores. If you need a cheap pair of glasses, skip it but if you are looking for something special and unique, check it out!
PS The guy who posted the negative review must be thinking about a different store because this place doesn’t stock the same kind of glasses that you would get at a chain store and in my experience, these guys are very professional and easy going.

I have been a loyal customer of Optical Shop for 17+ years and have been pleased with every purchase for myself and my entire family. The staff takes great care in outfitting you with quality, and stylish frames and lenses. I would heartily recommend this store to everyone from small children to adults. You will not be disappointed.

I ordered some prescription sunglasses for an upcoming vacation. I found the frames I wanted on their website and ordered online. When I got the glasses, I couldn’t see out of them at all — headaches, blurry vision, the whole bit. They said keep trying to wear them over a few days and I’d get used to them. Nope. Had to return them & pay a restocking fee to Optical Shop, which I did, thinking that I had made some mistake.
I went into a LensCrafters and selected similar frames. They told me that the frames I liked wouldn’t work with my prescription — in fact, my prescription was such that it wouldn’t work with most of the cool frames I wanted. They knew this WITHOUT MAKING THE GLASSES and making me wear them for a week before charging a restocking fee to return them. They were professional enough to look it up in a manufacturer’s guide telling them the Rx wouldn’t work with certain frames. I hadn’t made any mistake — the Optical Shop should have known not to make the returned glasses in the first place.
I wish the Optical Shop would have just looked it up before wasting all our time and my money.

I had to get my prescription for progressive lenses filled, so I stopped at Optical Shop of Westport to see what they had to offer. I was very impressed! I love the shop itself — it has a warm and inviting feeling — I felt like I was in a friend’s home trying on frames. It was a comfortable and relaxed experience versus the rush of some other shops I’ve been to in the past.
They have the latest styles available — no guesswork as to what’s «in» or «out» of fashion. Joe B was so friendly and helpful. He helped me choose frames that were perfect for my face and personality (very important!). And, the owner pours her heart into the business as well. About a week after receiving my glasses, she called to see how everything was — a very nice touch in a retail world that is so often cold and impersonal.
I thought their prices were very reasonable and the service was excellent. The location is very convenient, right on the Post Road and with plenty of parking available.

I was in town visiting and I had just had new lenses put in both my glasses and sunglasses before I left. Unfortunately they were fitted poorly so I desperately needed some adjustments. I found Optical Shop, explained the situation and they made all the adjustments for free without hesitation. Amazing service and I would recommend these folks to ANYBODY looking for fast, friendly and professional help no matter what the need. BTW they have an ENTIRE room devoted to sportswear glasses including scuba and ski goggles

What a beautiful place. Service is excellent my sons scratched his lenses and they repaired within a few hours.
