Like many people I have been to this store many times. I have even met some nice folks socially who work there but sadly I have never had to joy of dealing with them during their hours or anybody whom I could call, interested, trained or halfway professional. I went there on a Saturday morning it was not busy. I had a friend with me. I knew what I was needing, and headed for the counter. A woman who was promoting and eating ice cream spoke to me with a mouth full. I was horrified. She did not apologize at any stage, she told me an assistant would help me shortly as she was still finishing up with a sale. This was happening right in front of me. I am always happy to wait as I love the products and gazed about happily. Sake ended and assistant then proceeded to chat to the nice gentleman. After about ten mins of hanging around I went back to ice cream still eating now two ladies, asked again for assistance. They were so busy being loud that my friend and I left the store. William Sonoma I am now moving on to sur la table where I always get amazing help and customer service for My business

Not only does the staff display poor customer service skills, but the women all act crazy at this Williams-Sonoma! I have been in here three or four times now and I feel completely stressed out every time I walk out of this store! The women chatter in shrill voices, non-stop about absolute nonsense and can’t even answer the questions about their products! Oh… and that gay guy! If he still works here, he should be fired. They should all be fired. The Nespresso woman is an effing lunatic and has no clue how to do her job beyond making a cup of coffee. I just can’t go in here anymore — even if I’m in a bind and need something quick. I would rather drive to White Plains and go to Sur La Table!!! The parking here is bad. The store is small but cute and well-stocked but the employees are all terrible! The WORST! It’s weird because the Danbury Williams-Sonoma employees are all biotches. I am starting to wonder if the corporate office needs to retrain their managers and teach them to stop hiring their friends and actually hire competent, level-headed people who want to work, limit the idle chit-chat and sell some product! Unless you want to be tortured, don’t go in here. I am convinced that the only good reviews they have are from their family members. Oh, George R., you know your wife put you up to that review! And Laura B., while I would like to believe that one person might have had a positive experience here, this store could never garner a five star review. Just not buying it. I am quitting Williams-Sonoma unless it’s catalog sales. Terrible. Let it be known that I am finally posting this review after spending over an hour with Williams-Sonoma Customer Service and Nespresso — trying to get a rebate that the staff should have registered for me but screwed it up… and when I noticed that it wasn’t right while I was in the store, they replied, «I just trained on this and I don’t really understand it yet. I’m not good with technology. Maybe you can figure it out online.» I now have to scan and email my receipt to the company to try to get my $ 75. These people are atrocious.

I was so nervous given the reviews by previous posters. However, I had a wonderful experience! I was greeted immediately upon entering and was offered a pumpkin waffle with banana butter. Of course that was a great start but the customer service I received from the lady who helped me was impeccable. She printed out my friend’s registry scurried about collecting the items I had asked for. She made great suggestions for alternative things that were unfortunately out of stock. Great experience, I will be back!

Yes, absolutely horrible customer service. Each and every time I go in it is horrendous. But, the store has things I need at times so I continue to patronize. This morning was one of those times so I went shortly after the store’s opening thinking I would have a quick, easy, breezy transaction, but nope! Terrible, terrible, terrible once again. Another thing I loathe about this store, though it didn’t apply today, it is often out of the specific items I desire to purchase.

Consistently horrible customer service. I made repeated visits solely because the Westport store is the only location in the state that carries a particular item I like(and cannot find online). After today’s visit, I think I will have to call it quits.

wanted to buy an item in basket marked«50% off». brought to register and was told it was not on sale. pointed to basket. was told it is not on sale. told the sales person i didnt want item so she put it back in the mismarked basket for someone else to assume it was on sale and make them pay full price? i think she should have sold the item for the sale price the sign said, and then removed all the other mispriced items from the basket, not put the wrong one back in there. Is this a WS company policy? mislead people into buying things they think are on sale? overall this is a nice small ws store, but marking things wrong and charging prices different from what signs say is not cool — even in westport.
