This review is about a take-out order for lunch. One of my co-workers picked up Elaine’s takeout for lunch, and it was terrific. I ordered a chicken philly pita without onions and it was made to order per my specifications. The French fries were possibly the best I have ever had.(After their 10 minute drive in the take-out container they were still warm and crispy). The pita sandwich was good, lots of chicken, lots of cheese and mushrooms and peppers, very tasty. I thought the amount of food was reasonable for the price($ 8.50 included the sandwich, French fries(or salad or soup) and cole slaw) Not sure how they are for brunch or dinner, but definitely give them a try for lunch! I will be ordering again!

I feel bad giving not so great ratings when the staff is really nice. However, I can’t rate this more than two stars. The food wasn’t anything great but nothing terrible; it was diner food. The service on the other hand… Well, I don’t want to generalize bc really it was just one waitress. I came in for a quick bite and after giving me my drink, my waitress said she was going to pour a tea and would come back. I’m not sure how long it takes others to pour tea, but for me it’s a relatively quick and painless process. After waiting for quite a bit, the other waitress who had her own table came over bc she saw I was still waiting to order. My waitress came over to apologize which I said no worries. Food came pretty quick but the sauce that the sandwich was supposed to come with was missing. I had to bother the nice older lady who was working behind the counter and she was very sweet. My waitress again apologized. Getting the check also took quite some time. Anyway, nothing major that has ruined my life, just a waitress who needs to pay a bit more attention to her job; she was very nice though. The other waitress was wonderful as was the lady who helped me out. Very nice staff and friendly atmosphere. Just make sure you have a lot of time and patience in case your waitress forgets you. :)

I got roped into going here for my birthday. This won’t happen again. Service very good. Downhill from here. Scallops were loaded with salt. My brother’s stuffed sole was so bland he actually added hot sauce?? All meals should have been sent back, but the server was trying her best. Place was loaded with retirees. Most with hearing problems. It was so loud in the dining room you could not hear yourself think. I just don’t get the popularity of Elaine’s?

Food good on whole. Meat on carving station was cremated. Amazing shepherds pie though! Home made cheese cake was great. Mimosa and Bloody Mary are $ 3each! Good value. Sort out carving station for another star! $ 45 bill for 2 of us including a couple of drinks!

Sunday Brunch outstanding ! Was greeted friendly. Beautiful and clean and husband and I stopped in for Sunday brunch which included buffet dessert bar and complimentary coffee or tea. I ordered mimosa which was a treat. Nice pick me up on a rainy day. The food which include homemade waffles and homemade eggs omelets as well as eggs Benedict, baked manicotti and chicken mosa. baked ham. Everything was fresh and delicious. Dessert table of fresh fruit and homemade cheesecake, red velvet cake which my husband and I sampled. Very good experience !

I have dined there a few times and the staff have been nice and the food just OK. I go there only because I felt comfortable there when dining alone. However tonight was an exception. It was Saturday evening and yes they were busy. I asked if they had a table for one and despite there being at least two open«tables for two» I was informed that for«one«I would have to sit in the lounge. I certainly didn’t appreciate being treated like a second class citizen because I was a single diner. They might as well have asked me to sit in the parking lot. I left there feeling so demoralized and disgusted. It was a big mistake for Elaine’s as I was in the mood for a nice filet mignon and a glass of wine and I always tip enough for two. Guess where I won’t be going back to visit! Can I rate with negative stars? I am only rating with one star because I have to to register my posting although it deserves a «minus 5» today.

We brought my son & wife, daughter & husband and our 2 young grandchildren to Elaines for brunch last Sunday to celebrate the birthdays of 2 of them. The food was good, the atmosphere is great for children & the staff is very cordial & accomodating. The price is very reasonable for what you get. My only negative is that there was a large group there on the top floor who made the lines for hot food very long. Since there is only 1 employee at the hot food table to make waffles & fresh omelettes & slice ham & roast beef, the wait on line was too long. I’m sure they knew this group was coming & wish that they would put another staff member on the hot food table to get guests through quickly.

Sunday brunch: Saw an ad for brunch and decided to give it a try. It was delicious! There is one guy who makes waffles, omelettes and carves ham and roast beef. Some of the items I ate we’re deviled eggs, eggs Benedict, chicken Marsala, roasted potatoes, pasta, green beans, and chocolate pudding for dessert. This place has a real clean, pleasant atmosphere to it. I like clean places and you could almost eat off the tables and floors here. Wait staff very friendly. Private restrooms very clean too. It wasn’t crowded here either, which is good cause I don’t like to feel rushed. while I eat I like to read the Sunday paper Ugh, no egg whites! My only complaint is chef doesn’t have any egg whites for the omelette station. My relative cant eat yolks, so when a place doesn’t have egg whites they miss out on a nice omellette. It should be an easy fix for them. my only other nit pick would be they charged me $ 2 for soda, when other beverages are included with brunch brunch is $ 13.50 per person

Went to Elaine’s for dinner on my wife’s birthday and there was only 2 tables with people in the entire restaurant. We found out why when our food started to come out. Stuffed mushrooms were barely ok and cold, so was the fried mozz and the blue cheese dressing that you have to pay extra for was like water and tasted like water too. My wife andmom got the scallops, which they say are bay, but by the size and taste of them they were sea and for the price we feel like we were ripped off and my daughter got the chicken parm which was old and seemed to be frozen by the dark microwave edges on the sauce. I got the special which was steak but when you ask for medium and it comes out well done i guess it just goes with the way the rest of our dinner was. This was not our first visit to Elaine’s, but it will be our last.

This is a middle of the road italian. Pastas are way over cooked

My favorite thing about Elaine’s is that they make very classic Italian dishes very well. I often will try the Saltimbocca at Italian eateries and have many bad versions. Elaine’s is made very well, their food is well seasoned and has a lot of flavor. They have a nice house salad that comes with the dinner entrees and a nice assortment of desserts. I think this is one of the better classic family style Italian restaurants around. I would definitely recommend.

i fear they might be out of business??? We have been trying for days to call for our usual takeout order and after about 20 rings the phone cuts out, no answer and no machine :O( will let u know next time we are near there and can take a look. Praying they are on vacation, but it seems unlikely… so sad, soooo many places are closing down!

Decent food at a slightly steep price. Try any of the Italian entrees and pass on their steak. The steak has a trend of being too tough despite how it is prepared. The wait staff was friendly, funny, and helpful. The resteraunt simply lacks flair and/or uniqueness. Nothing separates it from the crowd. The layout of the restaurant gives you the impression they remodeled an old Denny’s.
