Great selection of music but the guy running it was an asshole. First, I was looking around and grabbing a few CDs and LPs that I was interested in. He helped me with finding a few, and i had about 10 in hand. After doing some research i ended up with 3 LPs and a CD that were the best price I could find. I then proceeded to out away the CDs that I did not want, and made sure I put them back right in order exactly where I got them. Then I went and began to check out. At this time he got real upset and said«That’s all you’re getting? I can’t stay in business with that.» And this was no joking attitude. He was genuinely upset with my business. This almost made me forget about purchasing anything, but I just shrugged it off. After making my purchase I went back into my vehicle and just as I was about to pull away I saw him running towards my truck. It was at this time that he had ask me where the CDs i didn’t want were. He was clearly accusing me of stealing these items that I had put back and after assuring him that I did not have them he had a fit about how I probably but them back in the wrong area. This was the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced and I will not be making another trip back here. I was impressed with the selection and the prices for the used LPs(many where $ 1, but the CDs were over priced compared to brand new on amazon) but it is not worth the awful experience I was given.

Great place! A hidden gem — specially for vinyl lovers like myself! Prices were excellent and a huge selection of all kinds of great music. Walked in on a whim and walked out with a huge box of records! The owner is friendly and very knowledgeable. I will be making many return trips here.

I have been going here for over 20 years. Yes, it’s convenient to buy music on iTunes, but compare that to discovering a minty second hand box set of your favorite artist at a great price? NO comparison. If you love jazz and blues, make it a destination.

Was feeling down, looking for some more Muddy Waters and Howlin’ Wolf cds, and the owner introduced me to Taj Mahal. Seriously: go here now. It’s a hidden gem(literally: behind another building on the parkway) and a wonderful business that deserves support! Great vinyl collection too, sometimes they have jazz mini-concerts!

Terrific place for jazz afficiandos! These fellows know their jazz and clearly enjoy themselves. Don’t be afraid to ask questions, they are happy to help and to share what they know. They’ll also special order if they don’t have it in stock. Worth the trip!

Love jazz? This is the place for it. Shop here! Listen here! They’re tucked in back of a little commercial building on the Silas Deane Highway in Wethersfield, not far from Hartford. Not easy to spot, but totally worth it. Not a chain; just amazing local guys with real dedication to the music. They also buy and sell used CDs and vinyl. And sometimes, you’ll actually get a live performance. Spend some money with real, local people who really love music!
