Enterprise Rent-A-Car

I rent weekly for work, and usually nationally, but ⁴⁄₅ times one has been national and the rest local. I reserve 1 – 2 weeks prior to rental. ⁴⁄₅ times Enterprise has not had the car size I’ve reserved, and twice they had no cars. The last two time’s I have rented from this location and the one time they actually had the car I reserved but it was on empty. My choice was to follow them to fill up and be late for my appointment, or chance running out of gas and fill up on my own. They were gracious and told me I could bring it back on empty. The last time they had zero cars, and my option was to come back in 4 hours. I also rented from the Cranberry location and reserved a full sized car and they gave me a compact. I dropped off after hours and they emailed me the receipt charging me for the full size I reserved. Seems they can get that right but not actually have the right car.

Unlike all car rental companies that I’ve rented from (that’s 15+), they tried to play stupid and charge me extra because they didn’t have the car size I had reserved online available. The norm across companies and across the country is to charge the reserved rate. This is dishonest and when I pointed out this discrepancy, she claimed it was because I had made a same day reservation. Not sure what that had to do with anything, but will never rent from this location again. Nor will I recommend this location to anyone. The same thing happened to someone I know, and I guess I should’ve known.

I was really impressed by the customer service at this location. I was, admittedly, an annoying customer… but no matter which employee I was dealing with, I really felt that they went out of their way to accommodate me and give me the best experience possible. I will definitely rent from this location again.
