Flynn’s Tire & Auto Service

Went to this place looking to get four cheap tires installed. The clerk quoted me a price that seemed very high so I called Midas, literally less than a mile down the street. Midas offered the exact same tires, installed, for less than half the price the Wexford Tire & Service clerk quoted me. When I told the clerk about the price discrepancy, he began to backpeddle — «well, don’t forget, there’s a mail-​in rebate with our tires,» implying that the rebate came from Wexford Tire and not the manufacturer, a complete fabrication. Needless to say, I did not have my tires installed here; I went to Midas instead.
In sum: This place attempted to gouge me on a fairly simple transaction. The clerk was dishonest and attempted to take advantage of me because he perceived that I was not some kind of tire expert. I will not go here again. You should do yourself a favor and go somewhere else, too. There are multiple tire and auto mechanic shops within a few short miles of this place that will likely give you better service and not treat you like a mark.
