Been hitting up a lot of furniture stores in the area… because we need a lot of furniture! Came here a few weeks ago specifically to look at sectionals. Though my guy and I left Thomasville sectional-less, I’m pleased to report that I would recommend Thomasville and visit again, specifically for higher-quality sofas and sectionals. The prices aren’t cheap, but the quality of the non-leather fabrics here is superior to fabrics we’ve seen at other stores. For some sofas/sectionals there are literally ~100 fabrics of various textures and patterns from which to choose and – this is really cool – you won’t be charged extra to have the throw pillows done in a different fabric. We didn’t leave empty-handed though. Downstairs – the building has 2 floors, is large, and has lots of inventory – there was a warehouse-ish room with quite a bit of deeply discounted furniture and accessories. I limited myself to a pair of neat made-in-India brass canisters and a pair of beautiful hand-carved-in-the-Philippines wooden boxes for roughly $ 25. There was a table full of brass items with a sign indicating $ 5 for all brass, isn’t that great?! As a side note, it was odd to me that Thomasville doesn’t appear to have a modern cash register/inventory system. Our receipt was handwritten and the check-out process far from swift, but I appreciate that interior designer and sales associate Sue took time to wrap my purchases quite nicely. Ultimately decided to splurge on a monster sectional from Crate & Barrel but, again, won’t hesitate to return to Thomasville for future purchases.
