As someone who often refers to Unilocal to help guide my decisions, I have never actually posted a review until now. I feel compelled to share my experience with this company as a public service. I cannot comment on their product, but I can most definitely comment on my customer experience. I contacted Atlantic Mechanical in May and asked to set up an appointment to get a quote for installing AC. They were very nice and quick to respond, but let me know that they were currently scheduling for July. Ok… fine… let’s set it up. I had some back and forth with the woman over email re: which day was best for us, etc. As July neared and another wonderful heat wave reminded me of how desperately I wished we had ac, I looked back through my email to see when our appointment was. She had never responded to let me know. I followed up on the last email I had sent her asking. Nothing. I sent her another note saying this would be the last time I checked before moving on to another company. To that email there was a prompt reply(no apology) that she had me down for X date and time and please confirm your address. I did, said thanks, see you then right? My husband — who is self employed and forgoes any profit if he cannot work — took the afternoon off to meet them. After the window for their arrival came and went, he called. Ooops the woman told him — «so and so got caught up in Boston and I meant to call you». Are you kidding me? Well, why didn’t you call? Why don’t you send someone out right now to make things right? What is wrong with your company? Clearly, they do NOT need the business, so don’t make the same mistake we did. They are so busy and care so little about their potential customers time(who are coming to them unsolicited to give them business) that you are better going somewhere that will respect you and the hard earned money that you are willing to pay.

Needed a new heating system after old radiant heat stopped working. After getting 3 – 4 different companies to come out and give us estimates Atlantic Mechanical was one of the lowest bids. The bids ranged from $ 8,000 to about $ 6000. Another company said that we needed to change all of our duct work. Atlantic Mechanical explained that this is not needed as our existing duct work should be fine for heating(we already had the duct work and it was being used for Central AC and was insulated). Atlantic Mechanical saved us $ by reusing our existing system. When we asked other companies how many days it would take for them to come out and install the new boiler/heating system they gave us an estimates of 2 – 3 weeks out. Atlantic Mechanical came out 2 days after we agreed to go with them. The work was completed in 2 days. They showed up on time and were available to answer any questions we had during and after the installation. We’re very satisfied with their service and would highly recommend them.
