Rick and his company were very helpful, and patient, in guiding me through 2 different purchases. I also used them to find a renter for my condo, and they did an outstanding job with that as well. They always looked out for my best interests, and Rick is a true gentleman.

Rick was referred to me by a friend of a friend. The first time we met, I could see he was pleasant, professional, clear and responsive to all my questions/​concerns. It was a very easy decision to choose Rick as our Realtor and I was even more pleased that we had done so after the fact. His knowledge, patience and integrity always made us feel he was acting in our best interests. The whole experience of selling our home was first rate top to bottom and unexpectedly quick. I’d like to add this could have been a very unpleasant situation, because my dearest friend had just passed away and in her estate left three of her «sisters» (one of whom I was) her home. It was a sad task and I can say that Rick’s patience and kindness made all the difference throughout the entire process.

I am delighted to present this review on my realtor, Rick Coughlin. However, five stars aren’t nearly enough to express the phenomenal job Rick did as my realtor. I first met Rick in 2009 at an open house for the condo that I ultimately purchased. At that time, Rick was the seller’s realtor. I was a first-​time home buyer then and even though Rick was the seller’s realtor, he left a lasting impression on me. He was approachable, extremely responsive and forthcoming in his answers to my realtor’s questions. When I purchased my condo in 2009, there were a couple of snags during the process. However, Rick was instrumental in getting the deal closed.
Remembering Rick’s top-​notch professionalism in 2009, I contacted him in 2014 to discuss my options for selling my condo. I was planning to purchase a second home in Florida, and I did not want to maintain two mortgages. My plan was to put my condo on the market in 2015 and sell it before purchasing in Florida. We scheduled a meeting (one of many over that coming year). After meeting with Rick, it was obvious that I had made the right decision in choosing him as my realtor. He provided much food for thought in that initial meeting and his insightfulness and sensitivity to his client’s needs were apparent. We met again a little over a week later, and Rick presented an Evaluation Report on my condo with encouraging information about the condo market.
The home-​buying/​selling process is extremely stressful, and Rick strives to make the process as painless as possible. He genuinely cares about his clients and will be there for you every step of the way. Once you hire Rick, he is there for you from day one to closing and beyond. All apprehension goes out the window because he will dot all the «i’s» and cross all the «t’s». He provided guidance and made suggestions for preparing my condo for Open House. My condo went on the market the Wednesday before Palm Sunday. Open House was a few days later and my condo sold at the Open House. If you want a realtor with great integrity, who is professional, meticulous, extremely knowledgeable about the south shore area and willing to go that extra mile, then you want Rick. Hiring Rick is like one-​stop shopping. Rick has been in the real estate business for many years, and he is highly respected by his peers. If need be, he can make recommendations for other professionals that you may require during the process, i.e., closing attorneys, movers, lenders, etc. Rick will keep you informed throughout the process, and he is more than willing to answer any and all questions you have. If you become a little anxious, his calming demeanor will put you at ease. Rick really does try to make sure that his clients make it through the process in better shape than they began.
I highly recommend Rick Coughlin. He’s definitely the realtor to have on your side. Chances are, in the end, you may even make a friend.

Rick Coughlin and Coughlin and Company real estate, have gone above and beyond in helping me with the short sale of my home. It took my husband and I many months to deal with the short sale of our home. But Rick was there every step of the way helping me in lending a friendly hand or a friendly ear. He helped with all of The problems we had with the bank, and when it finally came time for the short sale to go through, knowing that I was disabled he delivered the documents to my home for me to sign.
