We ordered with Grubhub and they seemed to have a problem locating our order, which was only half of it. They had the wrong noodles, and the main dish was horrendous. We don’t plan on going there any time soon. Even the people there were sketchy. Once we said Grubhub he treated us with no respect like we were from Mars. Order at your own peril.(Even the dog didn’t like it honestly)

So I ordered delivery tonight. The delivery«gentlemen» was super early(like 30 minutes) which is fine. He called from his cell phone instead of ringing the buzzer and I did not answer whereas I was not expecting anyone so early and did not know the number and was relaxing. A minute later the buzzer rang and I buzzed him in and met him at the elevator. He proceeded to yell at me that he called me twice and why didn’t I answer! He was very angry and rule. Actually scared me a bit. I tried to explain that I was waiting for the buzzer and I actually apologized. He didn’t let up on his rank so I took the food and walked away. Never Ever Again will I give them my money and I suggest you don’t either.

Filthy, worn, dark, dreary, unaccommodating, are just a few of the adjectives that apply. The couple of things that we did order(only because it was late and we were starving), could have been bought in the frozen food section at BJ’s across the street, and nuked. The«manager» that night was about as rude as possible. Other than previously mentioned, might be a good restaurant.

Dropped in Friday night to sing a karaōke song and have a beer. After walking through a cloud of smoke at the front door we sat in the bar. No table service so I went up to the bar and got a beer and cola. The price was great. But, the cola came in a giant plastic glass that looked like a kid used it as a shovel at the beach. The tables were all dirty. We picked the least dirty one afraid to touch anything, I sang two quick songs. Karaōke is great. Joyce carries most every song. But, no one pays attention unless you go up and act like a fool. I saw no one eating. It’s just a dive bar in need of new ownership to update everything and hired a real chef …

I normally come here often, this will be the last time i come, what a huge disappointment! My family and i were the only ones on the restaurant side, to start with no greeting. sat down, order hot tea, which was cold, said an actual hot one would be a 5 minute wait. My order of the marco polo which i normally love, came out looking like dog food, and the fork full i tried was as good as it i changed my was then served incomplete. I didnt bother to ask for missing item, just wanted to eat, pay, leave. Waiter seemed like he didn’t care. Empty place will stay empty, especially without my business now!!.

Prices are cheap for the lunch specials, so an easy decision when it comes to ordering /choosing. General gau’s is solid, it’s not drenched in the sauce so don’t worry when ordering it. Buffalo chicken rangoons are good, but not good enough to repeat order. The bar is nice though it seems there is only one(the skinny guy) working it. It seems another older townie joint, older seasoned veterans that hang out there. The pork fried rice is suspect, and obviously the Elvis impersonator is real sketch. The service was good, why, there was no one there.

Jenny is a great owner. Tony is a wonderful waiter. Food isnt anything exceptional but isnt bad either. Prices are very reasonable. The décor and furniture need updating and the bathroom could be cleaner.

Worst chinese restaurant ever! The rudeness starts before you even get in the door by the overbearing security guard/mall cop at the door and is accompanied by slow dismal service. The food is somewhat lacking also. rubbery spare ribs. soggy ragoons and cold lomein. If youre in the area stop by the Brew House and stay away from Gourmet Oriental!

I normally don’t like Chinese food, but the beef lomein and general tso’s chicken is phenomenal. Top it off with cheap drinks and karaōke, you got yourself a good time

I havent gone here for a long time until about 2weeks ago. We walked up with smiles on our faces(which is cause for suspicion I suppose.) My brother, Curtis and me. We shortly left 60sec. later. ___ Its my bro’s last day before he moves away. Chinese food and a couple mai tai’s, then the brewhouse,(liquer befor beer your in the clear) then smokin some bombtastic cigars is the plan. The security guy(a cop maybe) after seeing us laughing and smiling on our way in-which I guess is not allowed on the premises– flashes a small mag-light in our faces upon entering the door and starts grilling us… «Ok, settle down, ID’s now!» (we are all almost or over 30yo in business professional attire and stone sober.) Stares for a good minute at each(I’m still smiling… actually I thought he was joking around) then ask’s us… «So how much have you had to drink tonight?» We are all like… Huh? Guy–«Again! How much have you had to drink tonight?» We go–«Um nothing, we were hoping to change that though…» He stepped aside and continued to stare us down… The door Nazi was such a huge douche, we walked inside, said fuck it, and left. That’s my story. I used to come here tons for the crab rangoon, and zombie’s. I wont be going back any time soon now. The place where Kam’s garden used to be was the next stop, and now will be my regular spot in that area, less BS and probably way better food, as I see recent Unilocaling to indicate OG went downhill. That guy sucked, but only hindered the going away chillage for like :15min but wanted to share so that :15min can be spent doing something better for you reading this.

This place only gets two stars because the food is relatively poor quality. The dishes are hit-or-miss depending on when you come in. The pu-pu platter is always a good takeout option. If it was possible to only review the bar it’s be a solid 4 stars. The drinks are incredibly strong and cheap at the same time.

We came here one night for a friend’s birthday party that took place in the bar for karaōke(I kid you not). Despite being around all our friends, the manager kept walking around our area asking us if we wanted another drink. Since we came straight from dinner in Boston, I really didn’t want a drink but the manager kept pointing at me while I was drinking water. Okay, dude, I get it… Despite being around our friends and the karaōke, there were definitely some unsavory characters around the bar area. The dude dressed as Elvis was pissed one of our friends sang karaōke to an Elvis song(once again, I kid you not…) and at one point, I was pretty sure a bar fight was on the verge of breaking out. The décor left much to be desired, the service was abysmal, but I could see how gathering at a dive place like this could be fun for the karaōke crowd. It’s definitely not my scene, but I can say I’ve been. But, I can say I won’t ever come back. Bottom line: enter at your own risk. And don’t sing karaōke to Elvis tunes.

So far the food is very reasonable price wise. The quality is great and service is super fast. Should be anyways as there is only 4 others here. Never saw a cop so either its only at night or they got rid of him. If you want cheap good food come here and you won’t be disappointed. See this is why even though this place has two stars I still try it. This place should be 3 or 4****! They even gave us some FREE dessert!

I went here on a Sunday night and the bar was crowded while the seating for dinner was almost empty. The food is not good at all. I got chicken and broccoli and it was disgusting. I only had a few bites. The food portions are also HUGE. Even if the food was good, I could probably finish only half or less. The service is poor as she kept coming over to ask us how our food was but left before we could even answer. The only good food was the beef teriyaki. I would never come back here.

Weymouth wings and the wonton soup are great. Have only done take out. Delivery guy was grumpy. Better than the other Chinese places in town.

I’m rating this place as a 5 because I really don’t think that it deserves such poor ratings as it has here. I went here with some friends and my experience was very pleasant. The drinks were cheap, the food was great, the restaurant was clean, no one was rude to us nor did we wait any extended period to be served. If your problem is the karaōke then don’t go on a day they have karaōke. I’ve worked at a restaurant and bar that had karaōke and the reason they do it is to bring more people in. If karaōke brings in paying customers who are spending more than you are, karaōke wins… They have to make money somehow.

I only order take-out here and I think its for good reason after reading the other reviews. Honestly I think they have been quite consistent every time I order from there and I never had a real problem with any of their meals. Once in a while(like tonight) I could tell they didn’t change the oil in their fryer so the Crab Rangoon’s were too dark and tasted burnt but that was the first time in years that ever happened. I would agree that the interior of the place is depressing and needs a major overhaul, I’d never even think to have a sit-down meal here. However their prices are good for what you get, and again that’s for their take-out :)

This place is a nightmare, and the rental cop at the door is a jerk. I understand that dealing with a bunch of drunkies at a Chinese restaurant during the holidays is no, well, holiday… but he’s even rude to sober polite people. Also, they don’t take out-of-state IDs.

Came here one time a while back. The rude door guy gave me a hard time about having a Florida ID but finally let me in after a bit of a hassle. We had a good time due to good friends and scorpion bowls but the food was not very good at all. So I came back with the same friends again(great singers on karaōke night), my mother and a couple of other friends flew up from Florida for vacation, and other family members met us there. All of use got in fine until it came to my 2 friends from Florida(a married couple in there late 20’s, army veterans) and the same door guy would not let them in because of the Florida ID’s. The manager then came out to tell use its policy to check all ID’s and only Mass ID’s are valid. We asked if they check every-ones ID and the manager said yes. Then we asked how my mother from Florida got in with her ID if that is true. She said its because my Mother looked old so they didn’t even check. Very tactful. So… with that our party of 13 left and moved on to better places, never to return again. This place sucks do to the staff and their ridiculous policies and loose interpretations and enforcement of said policy’s. Once again, don’t go for the food.
