I would not recommend taking your vehicle to Chuck, Jr. I took my Tacoma in for a specific repair and the shop charged me $ 95 to just look at my vehicle. My truck is exactly in the same condition as before my visit, I just have $ 95 less in my wallet. If this was explained to me, I would have never had my truck taken to Casman’s.

I’ve been taking several of my vehicles here for years, and have always been taken good care of. I appreciate the honest nature and patience Casman’s employees have always given me in explaining what my car needs.
Further, they have always been accurate in their time estimates to return my car fixed, which is very important to me as I too run a small business.
I love supporting local guys who care!

I took my Nissan in because I thought my transmission was worn out but nope, turns out I just needed fluid. I appreciated the honesty.

Like another reviewer, I too was referred to Casman’s from another mechanic and I am very grateful. I purchased a 1975 Chevy Blazer recently and asked Casman’s to go through it with a fine tooth comb, which they did. They fixed what was necessary at a reasonable cost and have been nothing but great to deal with. I truly appreciate an honest mechanic.

beware! do not take your car to Casman’s. they charged me $ 300 to fix my AC. less then one month later the AC is not working again. i take the car back and casman’s wants a additional $ 400 to fix the AC! the first repair caused the second issue but casman will offer no refund or free repair to fix the AC. $ 300 for one month of AC use. Casman runs a SCAM beware.

This is the first time I have had any occasion to write a negative review. I’m not happy about it and I’d like to spare someone else the same headache. I took my 2006 Tundra in on a check engine light. Chose Casman’s because of the Unilocal reviews. I was charged a $ 140 diagnosis fee to be quoted a $ 589 repair needed to pass emissions testing. The mechanic was very hesitant to explain the diagnosis process and the purpose of the repair and even more hesitant to explain that the truck would run just fine — it simply wouldn’t pass emissions. So I got a second opinion at Quality Auto Care, was not charged a diag on the truck because I asked them only to inspect the part in question. They basically called b.s. on Casman’s and encouraged me to take the truck for testing, which is only $ 25. Said they’d run a diag and quote only if it didn’t pass. The truck passed. And I saved $ 600. No thanks to Casman’s. I look forward to writing a great review for QAC. I’m giving 2 stars because they took good care of my moms RAV when it needed a jump and the gal behind the counter was really nice. Otherwise it would be 1.

My family has taken our cars to Casman’s for years. Chuck and his whole family are wonderfully helpful and treat my whole family like a part of their extended family.
Being a lady its not always easy to find a mechanic where you feel safe and respected but at Casman’s I’ve never felt cheated or stupid. They are really willing to explain the problem and tell you the best way to fix it, they are also very good with pricing and are always honest with you.
While I now live in Austin, TX if it was possible for me to take my car to Casman’s I still would. Chuck and crew are wonderful people! Plus when you go you’re supporting a local family run business and there is nothing better than that!

I took my car into Casman’s because my check engine light went off for some misfiring cylinders. Chuck, one of the mechanics, and took a look at my car, and recommended I check the battery first, then bring it in if that wasn’t the problem. After cleaning the battery terminals, my problem was solved, thanks Chuck. With an immediate engine issue, I didnt have the advantage of mechanic recommendations, so I was happy with my experience at Casman’s that I would easily take my car back there.
The only problem is they are not open on weekends.
