This was my foray and possibly only visit to this location. It’s only saving grace was that we happened to get patterns for $ 0.99. Though almost all of the ones we wanted were just outside the range. The fabric select is large, but still not that great. The worst bit was the customer service. No one said hi or asked us if we needed help. When we finally were ready to check out, no one was at the register, 2 ladies were cutting fabric. A 3rd came up, but not to ring. No, to join in cutting. They all lined up and made eye contact with us but said nothing. Not even«we’ll be with you in a moment.» Overall, it’s terrible. I’m gonna try to say something to corporate.

this place has tons of fabric of every kind, and lots of crafting ideas. But im not really one that works with fabrics so when i went in this store looking for a item for a project I was working on, the service was no where to be found, I did see an older employee stocking shelves and I walked around her area several times in hopes that she would see that I needed help, but she never approached me or even made an attempt to ask if I needed help. when I finally struggled to find what I needed and made my way to the cutting table, the employee that was standing there was not exactly rude, but not exactly friendly either and the cashier was not any better. They really need to fix the front door since every time it opened, it made a horrible sound, one of the customers behind me at the line for the cashier asked what that noise was and the cashier said«oh, thats just our stupid door» the only thing that was good was the price for the item I needed was not bad.

Here’s a great idea! Let’s have a huge sale and then hire only one person to be at the register. I probably would have bought a lot of fabric if it weren’t for the endless line!

The location is convenient but the attitude I got from Holly at the check out is enough reason to drive to Hobby Lobby next time I need supplies. Completely unacceptable. I tried to call to complain but no one answers the phone. Ever.

Lots of fabric that spans the spectrum of meidocre to eh. I f you’re looking for luxurious fabric, this ain’t the place. But you can find some real deals here, tons of fabric fairly priced. But often, you’ll endure long lines to get your fabric cut from the bolt.

It’s been a couple of years since I last reviewed Hancocks and they’ve had a staff changeover since then. Generally, people are now pretty nice and the smack-talk has ceased. Still the closest fabric store to me, so 4-stars for convenience.

Bernina is no longer in the store. It’s just not the same without it. Bummer.

I went here to buy a sewing machine. Imagine my shock when I had to look at all the dusty, unclean, unsigned sample machines. Couldn’t they dust them once in a while and make sure the price is on them? It took forever to find a person to help me find out the price and then it seemed like another 20 minutes before she returned with said prices. The only saving moment was knowing that I wouldn’t be getting the sample machines, and that mine would actually be in a box, cleaner, I hope than the store models. The line was long with only one check out person and at least 10 people in line. Take a lot of patience with you when you visit this store.

Urgh. Despite myself I stopped in here today… I was lured in by the 50% off sale banner(it’s up at every Hancock Fabric store at the moment, this one happened to be on my way home from Costco). I never cease to be disappointed when I stop in here — the staff are practically non-existent and when you do find one, it’s hard to get them to actually help(if I had a nickle for every minute I waited at the cutting table… or at a cash register). I was asked for my «preferred customer card» at checkout and instead of offering to sign me up for an account, the cashier said, «well, maybe you can sign up the next time you’re in.» There won’t be a next time anytime soon. I should’ve bought the thread I needed at Fancy Tiger when I was there on Tuesday night, but spaced it out. Lesson learned.

Q: What’s the definition of impossible? A: Finding Green Bay Packer fabric in a Denver Broncos town. Oh wait… did I say«impossible?» I meant HARD. Hard, but not impossible. After calling pretty much every big-name fabric store in the phone book(Denver Fabrics, Jo-Ann, Hobby Lobby, Michael’s), and getting laughed at, sniffed at, tsk-tsked at, and cussed at(not really… but some people take those Denver Donkeys WAY too seriously around here), I finally hit on Hancock Fabrics. Hard to type, Hancock Fabrics. My speedy fingers just want to send it out as «Hancock Fabricks» each time… like they’re some sort of Pagan Magick Fabrick Dealer or something. But I digress… Not only was the woman who answered the phone actually NICE to me, informing me that they did have other NFL-licensed fabrics besides the requisite Blue n’ Orange, but she actually went to the back of the store to check to see if they carried any Packer stuff. And you know what? They did! THREEDIFFERENTSTYLES. For those of you who may be wondering why I happened to be in immediate need of Green Bay Packer fabric, let’s just say it involved a birthday gift for a friend, and a very, very poor attempt at sewing a gigantic, multi-positional«foam» finger thing. Don’t ask. Trust me… you don’t want to know.
