Lakeside Liquors

Being new to Denver I am also new to the many little liquor stores that are everywhere. There are many dive liquor stores in my Hood and I like to go check them all out to see who has the best beer prices etc. I stopped in here one Saturday to get supplies for a BBQ later that day, I was on my way home from Softball. I grabbed a case of beer and bottle of vodka. I also grabbed a couple of the Bud tomato Chelada. It is like a beer and tomato juice thing, that is a different review. The guy who works the counter seems to be the only guy ever there is very nice and helpful. While there is not a huge selection like an Apple Jacks, he makes up for this. As I was checking out the guy asked if me and my wife needed a glass. It occurred to me that he was holding out 2 red keg cups. I thought, well that is nice a roadie cup. I took hi up on the cup offer and we were on our way to the BBQ.
The store itself is your regular common dive liquor store, with posters and a very worn tile floor. The guy is also very knowledge able and great to shoot the breeze with. Him and the to go cup make this place a 4 star, not the actual store itself.
