Great selection of new vintage modern inspired, high end vintage, and a huge back area of garage sale finds. Well sorted, with an area for vintage appliances, chairs, glassware… the really classic pieces up front are expensive, but if you stop in regularly you could easily score a real find in the back.

I used to love this store and spent quite a bit of money on vintage tableware and ceramics on past visits. I hadn’t been in a while and stopped by yesterday just to see what they had. The owners were not in, sadly. And the woman who was working was just plain rude. And not just to me – she seemed to have real contempt for most of the patrons. She actually seemed put out that people had questions. I was eyeing a few pieces, but she put me off. When the owners are there it can be fun, though there prices are a bit higher than other similar stores. OK — honestly, sometimes the prices are outrageously high. On previous visits I enjoyed discussing collecting and price points with the owners. Whoever was working yesterday did not seem to know what she was doing. This was a real disappointment. Guess I will stick to ebay and etsy.

I walked in looking to pass the time, as my car was next door getting fixed. Will greeted me right away and was super nice and showed me some pieces I was looking for. What a great place. Spendy, but nice quality. They have some really really cool pieces! Seriously amazing. I urge you to stop by and check it out.

Such a cool place to browse even if you don’t have any particular plans for a purchase and walk out empty handed. I’ve been in a few times and the selection seems to move. Prices are a little confusing(some really expensive and some much less expensive) but I think that it’s because the pass-through between Retro Consignment and Mod Mood has the higher end pieces. Regardless of price, this is a really fun way to kill an hour and dream of days gone by. I hope that we’ll find a gem of our own here soon!

i am glowing with joy as i write this. my boyfriend and i have a thing for mid-century everything, mixed with a little minimalism and a touch of mod. thus, this establishment can actually fulfill our wildest and craziest(furniture-related) dreams. well, dear readers, that dream came true this past weekend. le boy and i were in wheat ridge at that huge hancock fabrics looking for upholstery fabric for previous mid-century find(a killer low-slung 50s armchair) and wandered over to retro to poke around. we always hit modmood first and sit in the womb chair and dream about nights beside the fire with a lowball of bourbon… but then we hit retro(the vintage side) to find the real gems. we struck gold last time — an original knoll-badged tulip chair for $ 111, after a 25% sale discount. i almost cried i was so happy. the owner was awesome and congratulated us on our purchase and asked what we wanted to do with it. I explained i’d probably keep it as-is for a bit and restore it on a weekend with good weather(it was in ok condition — but such a great deal!). he then asked about how to restore these types of chairs etc… obviously a true fan of the era’s furniture. tl;dr version: go. buy gorgeous finds. go often to find more gorgeous things.

This place is a Godsend! It is your one-stop shop for unique, modern eclectic & affordable interior design. Jeanne, the co– owner & interior designer, is so fun and easygoing, and really great at what she does. She’s creative, prompt, affordable & just plain awesome! This family is salt of the earth & they enjoy what they do! Love this place!!!

Hey guys can I move in? This place is huge! And it has an amazing assortment of vintage and modern home furnishings. The prices on the vintage stuff seems moderate to me, but the new modern furnishings are more high end. I just go there and dream of filling my home with everything in the store. The owner is friendly and nice. You must check this place out.

If you are a lover of retro furniture, then make sure you bring a paper bag when visiting this place because I about hyperventilated on the spot! This place is an untapped treasure of amazing vintage finds! One of the few times I was relieved that my Mini Cooper can’t haul shit, because I would have bought everything in sight. Every type of retro furniture you could possibly want can be found in this place and at pretty reasonable prices too. If it’s not in mint condition, you won’t pay much for it, but they have some pretty great couches in the $ 700 – 900 range, but believe me, they are worth every penny! There is a piece for every price range, and lots of items under $ 100. This place is a vintage-lover’s wet dream… nuff’ said

I’ve died and gone to heaven. This is a hidden gem for Vintage Finds. If are a sucker for old wooden school desks, 70’s style furniture, and quaint home décor, this will be your new favorite place.

If you’re looking for vintage home furnishings in the Denver area, make this your first stop. Pat Gooch and his team are friendly and very knowledgeable. You can tell they really appreciate the modern aesthetic. The offerings here are eclectic(and include outdoor furniture) and blend nicely with the portion of the large store that’s devoted to newly manufactured modern.

Nice people, huge space(former nursery and greenhouse), incredible inventory… talking with Samantha, she pointed out that the area around 44th& Wadsworth is all homes mostly built in the 50s-60s-70s. They have received a TON of consignment vintage from the surrounding areas. Their new modern pieces are wonderful and I want it all. Have my eye on a couple of chairs, looking forward to really browsing the space in-depth. This place is going to redefine its area and the mid-century market in Denver.

We stumbled upon Retro Consignment while we were pulling out of the Walgreen’s parking lot. It really wasn’t officially open but the doors were open and there was furniture outside, so we took a swing in… and WHATFUN! It’s really actually 2 businesses — Retro Consignment is half of the huge building and the other half is called modmood which has modern furnishings. I spent more time in Retro Consignment, so I will stick with the subject(even though I could go on & on about the cool modern Dwell porn they have laying about). RC is spacious, bright and airy as it was previously a huge nursery! This puts the treasures and findings in a whole new light(no pun intended) — a nice change from the darker, windowless and enclosed«antique market» places where I usually find great pieces for my home or that special nostalgic something that makes me think of the comfort — and retro-coolness — of my grandmother’s house. And in terms of pricing — an antique market it is not — I found the deals to be fair. There is something here for everyone — whether it’s a classic 2-tiered side table, that pink dryer you’ve been looking for or that perfect wet bar for your rec room, you will have fun while you’re there. We only scored a tiki mug for ourselves on this visit, but there were many more items we could have easily walked out with as well — too many treasures, too little space. The owners are great and have creative ideas — they are willing to keep their eyes peeled for something your heart desires, if you let them know.
