Terri is awful and other customers know it, not a good person to deal with. We definitely will be avoiding this place because of her and how rude she treats some of her checkers

Awful store. Check your receipt here every time!!! My wife and I live very close to this location, but drive out of our way by several miles to shop at King Soopers. Each time we shop here, we like to play a game called which items are going to be mis-priced, because it happens EVERYSINGLETIME! Often they will leave the sales tags up for last weeks sale items — you buy it thinking your item is at the sale price reflected, only to have it ring up at regular price as you are checking out. We have also had items marked one price on the shelf(not on sale) simply ring up higher at the register. Never has the store offered to do anything but refund the amount I’ve overpaid. The clerks generally roll their eyes and act like you are doing them a grave disservice by pointing out that you just got overcharged. Then, they often don’t go do anything to correct these prices as we have observed any time we’ve had to go back to the store later in the day and seen these old sales tags or mis-priced item tags still on the shelves even after the error has been reported.

Found some beautiful flowers up front way on sale. Also got some extra help finding something I needed, which was a plus. The Wells Fargo ATM inside makes this location even better. Just wish the prices were better!

Same store, but did I mention they also have a Starbucks inside, and it takes your Starbucks card? Important, because not all of them do. Still a good place to shop with a lot of variety.

Worst. Service. Ever. Both at the gas station and inside. It’s like I’m bothering someone to get help. Oh, and I emailed the store manager about an «incident» where I was treated rudely. Never heard back. So, I guess we know where the crappy attitude and complacency comes from.

This is by far the worst Safeway I’ve ever had the displeasure of shopping. There are a few that I like, but I’ll never set foot in this one again. While the floors and shelves are generally clean, the staff is clueless and undirected, the management is absent and helpless, and the checkout lines are long and maddening. This isn’t a bad neighborhood, and I patronize several other shops in the immediate area. There is just something about this Safeway that draws in the creepiest, leeringest, weirdest crowd. It isn’t uncommon to see super creepy guys trying to pick up on young ladies. What is it with this place that draws in the madness? Great news. There is a better grocery within a two mile radius in nearly ANY direction. Go to that one instead. Any one. It will be better than this monument to WTF.

It is a very pleasant Safeway. Much larger than«our» other Safeway at 44th& Lowell.(Although, Wheat Ridge charges sales tax on food and Denver does not.) I did notice that you can get Costco-sized amounts of pig in the meat department. Really quiet store on a Sunday afternoon. For me, the real competitor to THIS Safeway is the King Soopers at 38th and Sheridan. That KS is a dump compared with this Safeway. Only 1.5 miles apart and they seem to be on different planets.

They’re not too organized. Customer service was cranky, so that got me cranky. I ended up leaving and went to King Soopers instead…

This store feels twice as big as the Safeway on 44th and Lowell, yet that store is always busy and this one is always empty no matter what time of day or week I visit. As another reviewer noted, the produce section isn’t usually well-stocked, and it’s overpriced compared to every other grocer near me. And often we will come here to buy something that was on sale in the weekly ad, but find they are out. 9 times out of 10 this happens in the meat and seafood departments. The deli seems to always close early because they’re never open when I’m there. This store just looks and feels a little un-loved compared to its neighbors. But it’s easy to get in and out of the store due to numerous street entrances and exits with lights and dedicated turn lanes, there’s plenty of parking and you can get cheap gas, so… Another plus is that they run different deals on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays in addition to their weekly sales. Often one of those days will feature ahi tuna steaks for $ 5/lb or Primo Taglio deli meat for $ 5/lb. It usually takes something like that to make my grocery rotation.

I normally prefer King Soopers to Safeway in the budget grocery chain category, but this particular Safeway goes a little further in carrying specialty and organic items you normally have to go to Whole Foods for. For example: The Wheat Ridge Safeway carries Reed’s Extra Ginger Ale, a delicious punch of real ginger, natural sweetener, and did I mention ginger? Normally you can only buy this at a specialty store. Similarly, I was able to find Boulder Sausage, Panda Licorice, and Newman’s Own Organic dog food here. Plus, there are self-checkout isles and if you need a caffeine buzz, Starbucks has one of its microstores here.

I feel the need to review this particular Safeway. To sum this place up words like«fail» and«suck» come to mind. To be fair it is overall a typical Safeway but for some unknown reason this particular Safeway gets on my nerves. They seem to always be out of produce. Lemons, red onions, jalepenos, cilantro… very annoying. And for some reason the north side door is locked in the evening and they always have only 1 person working at night. They don’t do propane either. Argghh… 1 plus is the gas station out front. And good discounts if you use your Safeway card.
