The Bicycle Broker

Ordered a custom fixie here some time ago with different color schemes to my liking. Bike came in with wrong colored pedals, handlebars, and clicking noise coming from the chain. Tried getting this fixed multiple times, but once they get your money it seems that’s the last they want to hear from you. Lee doesn’t follow through with his promises plain and simple. IMO you want a cheap fixie order it from BIGShotbikes themselves and slap together. They are also awesome replacing faulty parts directly. Avoid the middle man.

I recently bought a bicycle off of the bicycle broker’s online website, it was a steal and Lee had great customer service and seems like an overall nice guy. The service here is ¹⁰⁄₁₀ so far and I will keep you updated on the shipping. EDIT: bike was delivered in less than week after being shipped from their location to the bay area.

The two guys at the bike shop today (didn’t get their names) had me in and out in literally 5 minutes after changing the tube in my flat tire. Fast, courteous, personable — can’t get any better. And they were open earlier on a Sunday than everyone else, too!

I had a bike that needed to be put together. A cruiser bike. I was hesitant, as I was unsure if they could help me because my bike is completely different. My bike was all parts. I had some missing screws and some other small stuff. They got the parts I needed and had it in about 3 weeks almost. I was told 1 week, but it was not mentioned there were 10 other bikes ahead of mine. I checked up on it and they clarified and I had my bike done in the 3 weeks they said. At first there was the fork that was on backwards but I took it in the next day and they had it done the following day. A gentleman that was well dressed had helped me and was very polite. Overall to put it together, it was a good deal.
Pros: Good customer service, well priced parts and build.
Cons: Communication-​regards to time it will take to build. Just clarification. 1 week is different to 3.

This place is awesome! ! Great service and great staff. This is my new shop for life. Also… dog friendly!

The Bicycle Broker ROCKS!!! Lee, the owner, is super helpful and knows a ton about bikes! My husband and I wandered in after not having ridden a bicycle in over 10 years (I know!), and Lee was super helpful in assisting us to find what we liked and what we could afford!
We absolutely could not stop smiling after we left the shop, and have had some pretty great bike rides together over the past few weeks!

These guys went above and beyond in helping me purchase a custom Big Shot bike!
I know nothing about bikes and they answered every annoying question I had. They let me ride as many bikes as I wanted, even after crashing into several others ha. While at their shop someone came in with a problem that was completely out of their control but they went out of their way to help this customer as well.
Was so impressed with the service, expertise, prices & selection. Would suggest them to anyone :)

The staff was super helpful and accommodating. I am clueless when it comes to bikes, but they were certain I was fitted for the right size and made sure I found the perfect bike. I would definitely go back.

Bought 2 bikes from here for my wife and I although you can get a better overall price from big retailers you can’t beat the service. My first true road bike was akward to ride but I brought it into Matt and he hooked it up with a custom fit for no extra charge! Free locks and tune-​ups aren’t a bad perk either. Overall my experience was great, great starter road bike and my wife is in love with her choice as well! Walked away feeling like we did good business on both sides.

Glad I went here for my bike! I was a little nervous buying a bike because I don’t know anything about them. Just needed a bike to get to and from work to save on parking and taxis. They were very helpful and let me test run a few bikes to see what was a good fit for me. Great attitude too, friendly and not intimidating for a newbie like me. Got a pure fix bike. they’re a great price and really nice looking too! Thanks so much guys!

Was not pleased at all with this shop. Purchased a PureFix from him in April. Lee would not honor my warranty because I did not come in within 30 days for a tune-​up. I had to go through the manufacturer to get this done. Manufacturer was shocked that he would force his customers to do this. Unresponsive with status of work orders. Turns out he never even contacted the manufacturer to have my warranty work done. Shop hand actually told me my bike had been fixed but cog snapped the next day. All around a bad experience.

Thank goodness for the Bicycle Broker! After a really frustrating, disappointing experience at another bike shop trying to get our electric bike repaired, Bicycle Broker saved the day. We live in Boulder and would definitely go out of our way to patronize this business again.
Matt was the primary contact and did a fantastic job with communication and updates on the status of our bike. Pedego sent them the wrong part to replace the throttle and Matt called Pedego, got the correct part, repaired the bike within two hours once the part came in, and gave us a call. Matt was even generous enough to deliver our bike after hours since we don’t own a truck.
I can’t thank them enough for the service they provided and the effort to go above and beyond for customer service. It was really affordable as well! Thank you Matt!

I just bought a beautiful commuter from this place and would highly recommend it to anyone interested in buying a single speed bike. BB has a great selection of styles at reasonable prices. I felt comfortable browsing there. The staff was very helpful without hanging over my shoulder. All in all a great experience.

The noise from the music was somewhat off-​putting.
I did not ask for help as I was just looking.
Seems like a good place to get a bike outfitted the way you want.
Did send them an email and did NOT receive an answer. FAIL.

The owner really knows everything about bikes. He’s also a perfectionist so be careful if you have a bike that needs fixing because he’ll make it better than you could ever imagine. All of that and he loves his customers!

Buying a bicycle is a big decision that only happens so many times in a man or woman’s life… So why not go to the right shop, with the right bikes, all complemented by the right service?! With the ability to custom make the perfect bike for you, or picking up a used ride, The Bicycle Broker is the perfect place to start. I’m glad I stumbled upon this place… Now my sister, girlfriend and I are all ready to ride thanks to Lee!

These guys are the best. They special ordered my bike when they didn’t have it and didn’t charge me extra. Not only that they built it for me and gave me a free little tune up. While I was waiting for my bike to come in they gave me a loaner to use. This little shop doesn’t have much but they make up for it in service. A little outta the way for me but worth the trip. Highly recommend to anyone buying a new bike.

I got my new bike here 2 weeks ago and it’s great. The guys here always send you out on a test drive. They are very helpful about getting the right size and what you need to make your riding experience the best. You also can’t find a better price in town. I came here first then proceeded to waste a whole weekend looking elsewhere. Called them on Monday and they had my bike built and ready to go in 2 hours. They rock.

My recent bike repair took longer than I would have liked but the work was great, as was the price. I was in a bit of a pinch for transportation on the day my bike broke down and Lee was kind enough to hook me up with a loaner bike. I don’t think it is their standard policy, but it saved my day. No complaints about cruising around Denver on their sweet (super fast) demo while my slow cruiser was in the shop. Lee was always nice and kept me in the loop throughout the repair.

I don’t frequently go to bike shops, but today I went in looking for a single speed/​fixed gear bike. Not only did I find one I liked color wise, but Lee allowed me to give it a test drive. Then I wanted to customize it with different colored rims (went with flat orange), new handlebars, and an additional rear brake.
The service from Lee and his co-​worker was impeccable. They both made sure the bike was in top shape. They double checked the wheels to make sure they were true, they made sure everything was tight, and they warned me that, like all bikes, things tend to stretch and loosen during the first week of riding.
He told me he would give me my first tune-​up for free next week, and if I wanted to add on anything else to the bike, he told me to just give him a call and he’ll have the part in a few days.
Also, the price for the bike was extremely reasonable! $ 414 for the entire thing! Can’t beat that at a large bike shop!
Amazing service from Lee, and he really knows what he’s doing. Quality work! I’m so happy with my new single speed Pure Fix bike!

I’ll be coming back for sure to hang out/​purchase/​tweak the bike as I see necessary to really make it mine!
