Advanced Healthcare Center

While I still feel marginally spurned over getting billed $ 500, two years after my last appt, I have to update my review. My husband, «Mr Attorney», walked into their business with our most recent bill and asked to speak to the office manager. They took the bill and told him that they would take care of it. Meaning, we were not responsible for that bill.
For that, I will upgrade to a 3-​star.

I drive 50 miles round trip to see Dr. Susie, and it’s totally worth it to work with a chiropractor that I trust and who is patient with my anxiety. Dr. Susie and the rest of the staff at Advanced Healthcare have been wonderful even when I’m on edge or nervous. I know my treatment plan is catered to me and my needs, rather than a cookie cutter treatment like I had experienced elsewhere.

It was very hard to find, but since I uploaded a pic, I think some of you may find it better. Maybe. It was probably once a house, but now a healthcare clinic. A very, very small house. Once inside, I had to walk through a physical therapy session to get to the reception area. I went to Advanced Healthcare Associates because I had a Groupon for a massage. I was scheduled with a female but a male entered the room. Unfortunately, I had to return on another day for a female to be my massage therapist. The massage room was very small. Just large enough for the table, and enough room for the therapist to walk around the table. Also, the room was very cold but she said she had no way to control it. The massage was fine, but I’m used to better quality. Afterwards, she tried talking me into a chiropractic session. I would have rather she just thanked me and let me go on my way. I probably won’t return due to the small size and design of the building and the far location from my home.

This place is a dive. You walk in the office, and it smells like dog urine. That should be your first clue.
I was having an issue with severe pain, so I called at 9 am to see if they could schedule an adjustment for a new patient. They told me NO PROBLEM. this is the day before thanksgiving.
I get there, the doctor tells me that there would be no adjustment without an xray. Fine, take one. Which he did. But he says, that he won’t be able to develop and read the xray until after thanksgiving.
So, I’m supposed to spend 2 days in pain???
He offered to call me to give me recommendations based on what the results said as soon as the xrays were read. I missed his call. I returned the call and got his voice mail. Never received a return phone call on friday.
It’s monday morning. I call starting from 9 am trying to get a doctor to talk to me, but I’m told they are too busy to speak to me. I asked if I could just have an xray report faxed to me, but was told the doctor has my file and won’t give a copy of it and would call me when she felt like it.
I expressed my urgency that I was on my way to an appointment with a licensed massage therapist that was going to ACTUALLY HELP ME, and that knowing what the xrays said would aid in my treatment.
however, they don’t want to be of any assistance at all.
I called three times begging for help and kept getting denied. This place doesn’t care about their paitents. Far from it!

I would NEVER write about something that wasn’t true. Everything I say happened did. and your casual invitation for an hour massage? NO thank you. You know where you can put that, right?
Hopefully, I was only one person who had a bad experience, and you’ve cleaned up your act since then. It was back in 2012.

I was a patient at the Advanced Health Care in Glen Ellyn. Everyone there is awesome! They care about how you feel and they really helped me a lot. Great place! Highly recommend it
