I just saw the CSO here Friday night! Yes, you read correctly, the CSO in Wheaton! I’ve also seen the St. Louis Symphony here (with Leonard Slatkin).
This «chapel» really is set up as an auditorium and it has get acoustics! The seats are comfy and there is plenty of legroom.
My only beef about this place is the bathrooms. They are clean, but there’s only 1 men and 1 women’s in the main lobby, so intermission time can be spent waiting and waiting… I don’t get what the problem is, you go in there, do what you have to do and come out! I think some people are writing a book in there. There’s a line… move along!
Anyway, many musical performances are held here at Edman Chapel and all the ones I’ve been to are wonderful. Check out the Wheaton College Perfoming Arts Series!
