Working with Bob and Sean was great. They were patient, skilled, humorous, and informative. One of the best customer service experiences I have had in any store.
We had a stain color that the folks at Home Despot had neither the skill, knowledge, resources, or attention to match. We originally bought Minwax from the big box store that looked horrible. Then, thank our lucky stars, McCormick was recommended to us by the manager of a flooring store.

This was the third paint store I had been to. We installed wooden shelves in an antique Chinese cabinet and needed to stain the wood to match the cabinet. We made the mistake of using a very light birch wood for the new shelving. It was nearly IMPOSSIBLE to get anything to stain that shelve dark enough and still have the reds and golds of the original piece. The Sherwin Williams I tried first would not even attempt a custom stain.
NOBODY custom matches stain like McCormick Paints!
I left the drawer and a scrap of wood from the shelves fir those guys to work with and they worked really hard to match the stain. I could not believe how close they got the stain and they were even apologizing that it wasn’t perfect!
Very professional, very polite staff. You just don’t get this kind of customer service anymore, except at small local businesses.
If you want a box of nails go to Home Depot, if you need paint go to McCormick Paints.
