Very helpful owner! Went in for help on a pattern and was met with great advice and much patience!

I love this store. I had never knitted before, but I saw the owner gave lessons so I signed up for all four knitting classes. She is really great with instructions and tips to get the project done. You can come in any time to get help or browse. If she doesn’t have it she will find a way to get what you are looking for. In my book customer service is very important to me and she goes above and beyond. I will always go back to this store. Espically after I went to the yarn store and had very rude customer service.

When I decided to take a refresher on how to knit this is where I took my lesson. The owner of the shop was very nice and helpful. She took the time to answer my questions and make sure I knew what I was doing. I would admit this shop doesn’t have the best atmosphere, but in my mind that is not a deal break. It’s the little things that bring me back to a store — like when the store owner told me if I ever got stuck on a project(whether I bought the yarn there or somewhere else) I was always welcome to come back and get help. That strikes a positive cord with me right there. I also liked that she makes sure you know that if they don’t have it in the store she’ll special order it for you.

I opened the door and right as my foot went over the threshold, one of the women at the table looked up and asked«Can I help you with something?» Jeez, let me get in the door first! I don’t know if they were trying to be super extra helpful or if they didn’t really want me there. When I finally got in, I heard Rush Limbaugh playing throughout the store. As a minority, I found this to be so welcoming and it put me in a great mood. Anyway, there isn’t even that big of a yarn selection, and most of it is very basic. One of the descriptions for this yarn store boasts that they sell«more than 20 brands of yarn.»

A 1.5 rating. I found this to be a small, dark, largely unorganized place run by older ladies. Felt I needed a flashlight to view the merchandise. Limited selection of just about everything. They do offer classes, and are definitely experienced at knitting, so maybe that’s their thing. Went twice(I usually go back for a second go, I think most places need a second chance) and it was exactly the same. It got the extra half star because the staff was very friendly. They offered to order me things at full price I could find at other stores… thanks but I’ll pass.
