As my husband and I were leaving Wheaton, we spotted this cute antique store. I don’t know what compelled me to say«pull over!» but we parked and walked in the store to look around. I’m glad we did. Off the Beaten Path is a cute shop filled with a great mix of unique antiques: kitchenware, notecards, toys, books, some clothes, sports memorabilia, quilts, jewelry, etc. There’s something for everyone here. Some items were valuable and expensive, and others were less so. The only thing I didn’t like was how small and cramped it felt inside. I had to tuck my arms in to avoid knocking something valuable off the walls or shelves. We spent twenty minutes browsing; I spent five minutes deliberating over which apron(s) to buy. I ended up purchasing a cute blue one for $ 6, which was very reasonable. There was a lot more in the store I would have loved to pick up, but I held off on those temptations. The store owner/clerk that rang us up was very personable and we enjoyed chatting with him about collectibles and country living. Definitely check out this sweet shop if you’re in the area or need a new antique store to visit.

The lady that works there or I think owns the place is cool. She knows a lot about antiques. Correct I’m wrong but isn’t this the place that is small and kinda crowded? I wish that she had more space!

I love antique shops like this one! There is a great mix of collectibles. This is not a high end antique store. I was only in the shop for a few minutes before closing time but was able to find a treasure in those few minutes. The shop has vintage clothing, old books, figurines, old leather shoes, fishing lures, buttons, lead soldiers, and much much more
