We came here unsure if it was going to be good considering it only got 3 ½ stars. After waiting just a minute or two to be seated we were greeted by a gentleman who was super cheerful and seated us immediately. Then soon after sitting the busboy came over to ensure we had enough table settings for all seated. And immediately after, a friendly waitress came over to ask for drink orders. They were kid friendly, because my kids got their drinks in a cup with a lid and straws. When I looked at the menu I saw a few entrees that seemed a little more pricy than expected and my kids having the expensive taste they have, they ordered breakfast entrees that were $ 9 each. I was a little taken back but when the food arrived(5 mins after ordering !! Wow!!) the entrees looked good. My kids got Ham off the bone with eggs and so many times when they’ve ordered ham off the bone at other restaurants it’s been dry and disappointing to say the least. However after trying the ham here, I was convinced it was worth every penny! It was amazing! Now I don’t NORMALLY write reviews, in fact this is my first, but my kids loved it SOMUCH, they made me write the review. I was more than happy to write it because the food was outstanding! And pretty good coffee for a diner. Especially with the Hershey’s Chocolate Caramel creamer! Yum!

Today I tried this restaurant for the 1st time. I’ve passed it 100 times and today we checked it out because my friend wanted to get fried chicken somewhere. The restaurant was ok. The median age here was at least 70. I’ve never seen so many old people socializing at the same time outside of a facility built for them. lol. It smelled like corduroy pants, medicare supplied oxygen tanks and polyester shirts. hahahah… the food was ok. Great service… nada en especial. Typical diner, but I wouldn’t come back unless I HAD to. I like clean and fresh places for lunch… not feeling like I’m taking grandma to the cafeteria. Maybe I should try them out again and see if they have the same«demographics.»

Beware! Filthy Kitchen. I knew of someone who made a delivery there and he said the kitchen is FILTHYDIRTY! He suggested to NEVEREVER eat there! Which is a shame because I went there on occasion and the food prices are pretty reasonable. After he told me what he saw in the kitchen so I will never go there. Its too bad.

My boyfriend and his friend took me here because we were so sick of eating the same breakfast places constantly. Authentic diner experience and very friendly owners and staff. And the breakfast is delicious! Great pricing also!

Disgusting. That is the only word I have to describe this place. The only reason I gave it 2 stars was because its a true family breakfast place – which we don’t have a lot of in Wheaton. But overall, horrible. The food was awful. It was dirty. But if you need a loud place for your whole family to load up on, the come on down!

ATTENTIONGROUPONUSERS! So my girlfriend and I went to this restaurant and they are behind the times here. There is a 12.00 dollar groupon for 20.00 value. I bought this groupon since it was close to my girlfriends hospital where we were at plus I like to explore new and cool things. There is lot of confusion between and management and groupon. Plus they don’t use digital cash registers and very old school. They tried charging me the 12.00 that I already paid for and I had to explain to them that I already paid the 12.00 on Groupon. What they taught was that since my bill was 21 dollars they subtract whatever it was down to 12 dollars meaning my bill would be 9.00. But my bill would of been 1.00. The lady was Eastern European and her English was not the best so it was difficult explaining it to her. She was a VERYNICE lady though! We finally got it resolved at the end. My recommendation… if you get a groupon for this please contact the restaurant first. I don’t the think the restaurant are eye to eye with groupon. This place was not very Disney like many would think after first hearing this. There are paintings of the dwarfs and Snow White. But it’s not like you are entering Walt Disney World or something. 4 stars for great service though minus the groupon situation which I don’t think is their fault. The food was good. I had the fried perch and Mac and cheese with salad. It was a Friday special I think for 8.99. Very clean restaurant. It’s just a standard out of date mom and pop diner. The wow factor was not there like U Gazdy in Woodale and Toots for Train in Bartlett. But for last second good meals in the immediate area then it’s a must.

This place was just weird… We came here because the Wheaton all night flea market was super packed and an hour wait just to get in. We were hungry so left to find something to eat nearby. It has a typical diner style, but the lack of people and clientele was a weird group. It felt as if we were in a deserted ghost town where everything/everyone is bleak. I got a soup and salad. The salad was very sad… it was pretty much all lettuce with no veggies at all! The soup was a bit too thick for me. Our server was very cold, she wasn’t friendly nor mean. Not welcoming at all. Other tables got a bread basket and on the menu it said if you order soup, you should get a bread basket, but we didn’t. Maybe I read it wrong though… However, the older lady, who is the owner who checked us out was friendly to us. Overall, just a weird experience to say the least…

When I was a kid(lets say 40 years ago) this was the place to go for ice cream. We used to go there all the time. Haven’t been there in 35 years. Have gone 3 or 4 times in as many months for breakfast. Excellent service and very good food. I would compare this to Juicy O or Omega in terms of the type of food you will find. Good food at reasonable prices. Why have we gone back. Its the atmosphere(cheesy but nostalgic) and the employees. They are very nice to deal with.

I have grown up eating here, I ate here last week with wife for first time in years. We were seated in a booth, and after 10 minutes of waiting I almost walked out. Not single waitress said hi or asked for our drinks to order. The bread basket that was brought to our table was so old, it has butter and dust around the brim of the basket that was at least 10 years old. The bacon was burnt, hash browns were like burnt rocks, it was honestly the worst meal and service I think I have ever had. I have known Sam the owner, and I can’t believe he has let the standards drop this bad. Most of the people in the dining area were looking for a waitress while all the waitresses were standing together gossiping. I will never return.

Exactly what I was looking for on a day like today. Hot black coffee, excellent service, and an interestingly delicious Albanian-style breakfast skillet. They also poached my eggs which some restaurants don’t! Best waitress I’ve had in a long while; gave me a newspaper and had a great attitude considering it is labor day

Went for breakfast today while my car was being serviced at AAA car care. It was just okay. I ordered the gravy skillet and my husband had the French toast with eggs. The service was good and the owner very nice but the food was just Meh at best. Price was cheap but much better places to go. I wouldn’t go back.

A true staple in the western suburbs. I can not even begin to think of how many times I have driven past this place. To be honest, for years I thought it was an abandoned restaurant. There are many shops or restaurants connected so it seemed quite possible. Then I heard someone talking about it. One day while running errands in the area, my husband and I decided to finally give it a try. It was in the middle of the day so I was not expecting too much of a crowd. We walked in and were greeted by a very friendly worker who let us choose our seat. There were plenty to choose from with only about 3 other families there at the time(although as we were exiting it definitely picked up). The food came out fast, coffee was just ok, and service was decent as well. It is hard to give any diner more than 3 in that they are all kind of similar. I also think there are other diners in the area that I would frequent before coming back here. Partly because of location but mostly because of overall service and food.

What a great experience. 18 smelly runners on Saturday morning and the wait staff was very playful and appropriately snarky! Gerrianne was a rock star accommodating our request, especially the bag of ice for Bruce’s feet. We all received individual checks, food came out hot, price was reasonable, staff was efficient. We never had an empty cup of coffee. I especially loved the playful Seven Dwarfs themed décor.

So, maybe I ordered the wrong thing, or maybe it was an off night, but I really did not experience any magic when I ate at Seven Dwarfs… except for the abundance of Snow White Murals. I ordered the Mexican Skillet and it was meh. Waaaaay too greasy for my taste, not enough hash browns at the bottom of the skillet, and just overall not really impressive. My friend’s son had the kids pancake which was a little sad. A thin little pancake with chocolate chips and whipped cream. Not as cute or creative as I’ve seen other places do for the kiddos. The service was really not impressive, especially when there was only 2 other tables in the entire restaurant besides my table. Seriously, I hate to bash this place when it’s so old and has been there forever, but they really need to spruce up their menu or light a fire under the chef’s butts to make some Snow White magic happen. I’ll maybe give this place one more try.

Darn, sad to update my review… We ate dinner here tonight, and though the people are so, so nice, the food and facility are subpar. Everything we ordered was underwhelming, with the exception of the pancakes. Those were cooked to perfection. But our eggs were rubbery and the sausage was inedible. The restaurant itself is quite dated, which is just fine. But the bathrooms are really in need of attention(not just a cleaning, but major updates and a deep, deep cleaning), and I don’t like eating with a bin of bussed plates sitting nearby. My husband never wants to come here, even though it’s so close to our house. I could never fathom why, but now I get it.

This place is a riot. The whole Snow White and Seven Dwarves things is just awesome. It really is. What a theme for a restaurant. Is it Dwarfs or Dwarves? We’ve driven by a couple of times and that’s what caught our eye. We’d probably never had a reason to go if it was called anything else. The dwarf thing really works. The menu was full of variety but I settled on breakfast. I had a cheese omelette(so boring, I know) but it was the really good poofy, fluffy kind. Not the flat crêpe looking kind. The American cheese wasn’t completely melted though(as you can see in my phở-to) and non melted American cheese really grosses me out for some reason. It has to be melted. Totally weird, I know. I got hasbrowns as well and I’m trying to remember if I had toast or pancakes. I’m thinking I had pancakes. It wasn’t very crowded, we were there at a weird time on a Saturday. Kind of between lunch and dinner. The other patrons were mostly much older people. Some guy was all freaked out because he ordered his sandwich on rye bread and insisted that whatever bread he was given was not rye bread. Apparently, it was rye bread but they switched their old species of rye bread for a new one. I don’t think he was completely convinced… Husband ordered the Mexican skillet. It apparently had a kick to it because he was sweating profusely the entire time, wiping himself off with napkins. It was gross, but it was also funny. I kept taking pictures of him and sending them to my sister. I had water, husband had coffee. Our entire bill was $ 16.42. Whaaaa? And they were oh so friendly. P. S. I want to meet Ryan L.

When the three of us walked in, we were warmly greeted by an older gentleman who treated us like regulars. I love the banter that comes along with an encounter like that. Sadly, that’s where the fun ends. Once seated we start to look over the menu which was pretty broad and we all make some pretty quick choices. French dips, burgers and Greek chicken. Here’s the thing: the food tastes good. Especially the soup. Normally, I am very observant, but this was a high stress day and I didn’t realize until after lunch how dirty things seemed. Smelled like dirty dish water. The waitress dropped utensils and picked them back up and distributed for use. So while I love an old school diner feel, I’d like to experience a bit more cleanliness.
