Bertog Landscape & Company

Hired Bertog’s to plant flowers, trees, shrubs and cut some stone around patio. The new plants were not planted deep enough so they began to die. I called to tell the designer of the problem and they were supposed to return to modify the matter, but didn’t. I, who paid them to plant the plants, had to replant most all of them and those that I missed, died. After several attempts to reach Mr. Bertog, he came to my home and promised me they would replace what died next spring. Spring came and Mr. Bertog was nowhere to be found. They were very negligent in responding because they had no intention of making good on their promise. This job was fitted in last minute due to a cancelation, so I agreed to buy all the plants, trees, etc because they didn’t have the time; and because I purchased my own goods, as I now learned, Bertog decided they wouldn’t replace or make good on the deal we arranged. Nice! Still, I shouldn’t have had to replant all those plants when I had paid them to do it! And nobody at Bertog’s had anything to say, not even an apology, regarding that little aspect of it, which is just disrespectful and unprofessional. Furthermore, the crew that was here working, received a call from their foremen who implored them to «hurry up,» as they were «needed elsewhere.» They were in a hurry all right — that’s why the job was so shoddy. Turns out, this company does not stand by their word. For all the money I spent, followed by needless aggravation, I would seriously consider finding another landscape company if I were you.
