Hall of Fame Cafe

My mom had bragged about how good the burgers in this place were, so I was excited to try it out. We entered through the upstairs, then had to walk through the kitchen to get to the stairs down to the table area. The service was very impersonal; the waitress never responded to thank yous or other courtesies. The food came out separately, but quickly. I ordered the Hall of Fame burger with fries and gravy and a side of cold slaw. The side of cole slaw was huge, and it tasted ok. The fries and gravy were good portion but extremely salty, and the gravy had little goopy congealed clumps. The burger was dry and flavorless. We waited 15 minutes after finishing before we finally hunted down the waitress for a box and our check. She didn’t come back after dropping off the last of our food. The table next to us sat dirty the whole time we were there. Not at all impressed and won’t be returning.
