Be careful of this guy and his family of real estate agents. Every time I think back to the purchase I made from them I cringe at the thought. They took advantage of me not once, but twice. I didn’t realize at the time since they put up such a great front and was so nice to me. However it wasn’t until after wards did I realize I was taken advantage of. I was in the middle of negotiations with them on a condo in Wheeling, IL. Yes I fell in love with the condo and at one point put in an offer and said that was all I can afford. I got a phone call from Paul and him telling me that the developers would not go for the price unless I put in an extra 1000K. I was already over my planned budget but I agreed thinking… hey it’s only 1K. (Obviously he noticed my inexperience and took me for an extra 1K). So I bought the place and moved in and lived there for about 10 months before deciding I wanted to sell it because I couldn’t afford the mortgage. Since they were still selling the condos and had a place set up just outside the development I figured it would help if I used them as my agents again, which worked. He brought in a few interested buyers for me and finally there was a buyer who put in an offer. Again I gave him my set price and I told him I will not budge and would not part with the condo unless I get this set amount. It was a good price at the time. Once again I get a call from Paul, this time in a frantic tone, asking me if I would take an extra $ 1000 off the price. He said that the buyers asked for that and I believed him. I told him that I would think about it and call him back. He said, I needed to give him an answer immediately or the buyer walks. Of course I gave in and said ok. ASS! As soon as I hung up, I knew what he did. He would never have let the buyer walk away for $ 1000 especially when he was getting way more commission from the sale. That was the reason for the «frantic» phone call because he knew I would have figured it out if I had just a few more minutes to think it through. I guess I deserved it being naïve and he saw that and took advantage of it. I hate them for it. He took $ 1000K from me on top of the commission he made from the sale.
It’s been 4 years and I am still very angry at them. If it happened only once to me, then I probably wouldn’t have thought anything of it. It was because I used them the second time that I noticed the pattern. He’ll try to suck that extra $ 1000K from you without you knowing. I just want people out there to know.
