Best sub place ever! I’ve been coming here for years. About 10 years and I always tell people to go here. I’ve tried every sandwich at least once. Rammys also makes there own chipotle mayo for you to buy there and I can’t live without it. It’s always in my fridge at home, I put it on everything.

I have never had anything but a great tasting sandwhich at Rammy’s. The meatball is my favorite along with the beef brisket. Milkshakes are good too. The staff is super friendly and fun to interact with. The restaurant is clean and has a decent amount of seating. When our group of 4 at work can’t decide where to eat we can always agree on Rammy’s.

Rammy’s was recommended to me by a co-worker and I must say, they’re subs are delish!!! I had a BLT with ham and all the trimmings on a pretzel roll! The roll was soft and the meat was fresh and good. The only downside is that the sandwiches are on the small side… But overall GOOD!!!

Not a bad spot, everyone who works there is very nice and helpful. I’ve tried a good amount of the sandwiches and they’re all pretty good. Not great but it dies got the spot if your feeling for a sandwich. Try it out.

My husband and I meet for lunch here about once a week. Their subs are fantastic! We’ve tried a lot of Rammy’s different sandwiches but lately we’ve been keen on the 2×4 on a pretzel roll. Also, we both love the spicy olive topping they have. It’s a great lunch spot and I highly recommend! Added bonus — the people that work there are SO friendly and nice.

This place is great for a quick and delicious toasted sub. The variety on their menu and the fresh products blow away the likes of Potbelly’s. Just wish they had longer hours.

Did we eat at the same sandwich shop as all these reviewers? The turkey was gelatinous. The onions were harsh. The milkshake was flavorless. The chicken was old. The prices and portions were good. So was the bread.

The sandwiches are ok, generous ingredients. The read is fresh, but be warned… they heat all sandwiches unless you insist it be not heated. The milkshakes are great!

The Sawhorse, the Radical, the 2×4…all delicious… all unique… This place has always been my go-to for a tasty sub sandwich. They’re creative with their sandwich options and bread options. There are sides and chips or cookies and shakes. Everything is tasty… everything is good. I always leave full, happy and lethargic(in the most positive way possible).

The only reason this place gets stars is the food. The sandwiches are phenomenal. I can’t find a sub better, it’s that simple. They are missing 3 stars due to the service. It is impossible to find out their hours of operation, and even when you do find them(through Unilocal,Google, or their poor website) the hours are usually incorrect. For being such a popular sub shop their hours are very inconvenient. Then we get to the employees. The woman I believe to be the owner is so very kind and lively. After dealing with her I can see why Rammy’s became many people’s favorite. The younger employees, I believe high school students, have poorer attitudes than DMV employees. They also tend to get a simple sub order wrong somehow. Or they have to ask you your order repeatedly as it seems they don’t care. Granted they are young and lacking professionalism, it doesn’t excuse their gloomy look and complete lack of a welcoming smile. Rammy’s would be a perfect five stars if it weren’t for the robot children working there and a terrible website, which makes finding out their hours near impossible.

After trying Veggie Subs at many locations this is far the best for me. I specially like the Lein Veggie with all the cheese on it. Yummy…

Caution — their website and menu are outdated and list incorrect info! They are not open til 8pm Mon-Fri, they close at 7pm as I found out when I arrived at 7:05pm Upgrades are definitely not .30, extra cheese is .50 and extra meat is $ 1.50 Hopefully someone will create a menu for them on this Unilocal listing so people will know what everything costs. I’ve only eaten here a few times and stuck to only a couple sandwiches. I’ve been ordering extra meat on everything but the Megastructure as I heard they don’t put enough meat. I do this for other sandwich places like Jersey Mike’s as well. While the subs here aren’t bad I’m not crazy about sandwiches that mix warm and cold meats, it’s one or the other for me. I would like it better if they were open later than 7pm but maybe business drops off enough where they’re wasting money staying open for too few customers. Is the Unilocal page for the Elk Grove location correct about them only being open til 4pm during the week? Dang. Probably lean closer to 4 stars rather than 3 but with the outdated info leading to a wasted trip and unexpected costs I can’t help but opt for the lower rating.

So many great choices! I had the Italian beef and a Big Ass(banana) Shake with Voodoo chips — everything was as awesome as it sounds! The only thing that would make this a 5 star review is the service. Considering how slow it was at the time, I really felt the staff could’ve done a little more to be friendly. Oh, I don’t know. Perhaps smile? Anyway, everything else was super… Also, cheese fries would be a bonus, lol Definitely would go again.

I went to Rammy’s for lunch(Friday, May 23rd) with my co-worker. As Rammy’s has great, affordable subs, we frequent this restaurant once or twice a month. I previously purchased two $ 10 Groupons and used one a while back. Today, I wanted to use my other $ 10 Groupon. My total came up to $ 10.96. The cashier redeemed my $ 10 Groupon, so my total was $ 0.96. I gave the cashier a $ 20, so my change should have been $ 19.04. The cashier only gave me $ 10 back. I calmly reminded her that I gave her a $ 20 and that my change should have been $ 19.04 and asked her to give me the remainder of my change. This cashier then decided to get loud(enough for other restaurant patrons who were waiting in line to hear) and state«I’m not giving you $ 19.00 back.» Clearly, she was confused. I asked her to calm down and then proceeded to explain the very simple math to her. She then tried to explain to me what the Groupon says(which states«Each voucher valid for $ 10 worth of food and drink.)» After cutting me off, she claimed that she«got it» and gave me an additional dollar back. She obviously did NOT get it. She kept looking at the lady who was putting the toppings on the sandwiches, but this woman never chimed in with any comments or to assist the cashier. I explained the situation again to the cashier and she then gave me a total of $ 20 back. Once she gave me the money back, she complained how she was so flustered and sick of people using the Groupons because they were so confusing. Even though the cashier did not refund me the correct amount, I walked away because I was upset that this cashier wanted to argue with me and that she didn’t understand simple math. As this company has decided to participate in a relationship with Groupon, it would make sense for all employees of Rammy’s to understand how to redeem the Groupons. In the event that Groupons add more work for employees, it is unprofessional for employees to share those frustrations with the customers. Further, it is never appropriate for employees to get loud with customers(especially when the cashier is the one who is wrong.) I have never been treated with such disrespect at a restaurant before. My co-worker and I were completely caught off guard that this situation even happened, as we were really looking forward to enjoying our lunch at Rammy’s. The cashier was working around noon on Friday, May 23rd at the Wheeling location and has shoulder length brown hair that was partially pulled back. I understand that I was dealing with a young cashier, but that’s still no excuse for her lack of understanding the situation and her lack of professionalism. I give this place two stars because I do actually enjoy the subs, the service is just horrible and I don’t plan on returning.

Let me tell ya something, I has the ultimate sawhorse today and it was fantastic. One of the better sandwiches I’ve had in a while. Juicy, tender beef w cheddar and horseradish sauce just melting together is awesomeness. I added giardiniera because I’m a great person. Check it out!!!

My favorite subs! I just wish they had one a bit closer to me. I know they only have a few locations and this one is the closest but it’s still a good 20 – 25 min from me. Still worth the trip every few weeks or so.

Was here on a Sunday at 3pm and they close at 4 on Sundays. Ordered the Italian beef that has gotten rave reviews here on Unilocal… Nope, my «Sub Contractor» informed me that they turned off the beef pots already. That kind of annoys me when a staff pre closes at the expense of being able to order certain menu items. Ladies, whomever Rammy is would not have been happy. Plan B I went with the turkey and swiss w/the works. Man, it was a tasty sub. I like my subs toasted sometimes, and this sub really hit the spot. All fresh ingredients, and it does remind me of Potbellys a bit. However, I will always go with the local option instead of the chain. Definitely looking forward to taking the wife back here sometime, as I know she would enjoy as well. I just kind of question the theme here a bit. It’s a little tacky with the wrenches and the whole contractor theme. Then there is some crazy spray paint characters up on the walls. It’s just a little bit odd. But I DO like the many pictures of customers strewn about the place. Definitely ties in the sense of community so keep that going, Rammy! We will be back for the beef!

The #5 Rammy’s Rueben is the most delicious sandwich ever. I’ve tried to get other sandwiches, but honestly, it’s the best rueben in the suburbs. In terms of venu: the restaurant is construction themed(sub contractors — get it?) and they do well to incorporate the theme. There’s a decent amount of seating inside but it can get crowded. This sub shop is a favorite for most of the local high schools, with students traveling 15+ minutes during their lunch hour to get a bite of Rammy’s. But it’s definitely worth it. I’ve been eating here for almost 10 years and it never gets old.

So freaking good. And the service is always friendly and fast! This is a family-run business that is active in the community and even donates to local schools; in spite of the random strip mall it’s in, it’s always packed for lunch! I highly recommend their specials, too, especially the Ramme’(when it’s back) and the New Yorker(but with turkey!). Heart!
