Tom’s Pond Service

We were unhappy with the service provided and will not use them again

Two days after a cleaning, retired neighbor saw crew come back, even recognized specific people. Now all the butterfly fish are gone. Something fishy going on with that.

I was looking for someone to do pond opening/​closings plus some additional pond maintenance. I got a recommendation from an acquaintance for Tom’s Pond Service. I inquired about getting simple pond maintenance done. I was quoted $ 150 for the work i wanted done and $ 450 for some other work I inquired about. I was also quoted additional money for power washing (something i’ve never done to my pond in 10 years of having a pond). I was also given a quote for housing fish over the winter. There was a lot of up selling but no problem. I tried to hire Tom to do the $ 150 job but was told they would not come as it was not worth their while. i then tried to hire him to come out to do work that amounted to $ 450 but was told they would not come out for less than $ 1200. I was more than willing to hire Tom for the original amounts quoted and was desperate to get work done as i needed to get my pond open to keep my koi alive. Tom was adamant about not doing anything as it was not worth his while for less than $ 1200. As the weather got warmer and warmer i got more desperate trying to find someone who could get my pond up and running. Fortunately i found someone who was capable and my 20 plus koi ended up being fine but no thanks to Toms Pond Service. I have no respect for the way they do business. It seems Tom cares very little for the life of your fish and much more about how much he is going to pocket. The person who recommended Tom to me originally was mortified and has stopped using him as well.
