Subway

If you’ve eaten at a Subway restaurant before, you know what to expect. This location is inside the Shell gas station, which also has a mini-​mart. I often take advantage of the daily special on the 12″ Subway sandwich if it’s one I like. I have them cut it in two, and then save half for later. They are generally happy to pile on as many fresh veggies as you want. It may be «nothing special» but it’s a decent alternative to hamburgers and fries, and you can have your sandwich made the way you want on your choice of bread. They will also warm your sandwich for you, which I find really helps bring out the flavor.
The White Pigeon Subway Shop is next door to Wade Park. In the summertime, it’s a nice place to go to enjoy your sandwich and there’s a small play area for kids.
