I just got off the phone with this «doctor» and had to stop my search for a doctor to pen this review. I am a self-​employed Af. Am whose businesses run independently of my presence on the premises and essentially haven’t worked more than a few hours per month for the past 3 years. Dr. Kornstein speaks to me for less than a minute and immediately tries to dissuade me from seeing him, citing «it’s expensive»… Uhmmm, did I ask you for a payment plan? Do you know anything about my finances? I don’t need financial assistance for anything and am appalled at the several points in conversation where he made assumptions about my ability to pay and tried to dissuade me from that procedure into just getting stinky contacts. My kerataconus is so bad I’m no longer allowed to drive, so NO, contacts won’t cut it for me. I want permanence in the restoration of my vision. He didn’t even give me an opportunity to mention how severe my case is. If I’ve had 4 cosmetic surgeries, get my teeth whitened and my eyebrows permanently arched, his measley $ 3,500 to restore my eyesight is nominal. Thoroughly disgusted with him. He should be ashamed of himself!

I visited Dr Kornstein in his Manhattan practice, but I don’t think he has a separate Unilocal page for that.
I’ve had trouble wearing contact lenses for years. Various optometrists/​opthamologists have given me various brands, drops, etc to try, but to no avail — I would only wear them on special occasions and for no more than a couple hours, and glasses the rest of the time.
Dr Kornstein immediately recognized the problem — my eyes have a somewhat unusual shape, and I was wearing the wrong diameter lenses. Miracle of miracles — I can wear my new lenses all day without pain!
