My favorite Modells. Always clean and stocked with everything. Love the clearance section. My go to store.

I rarely shop in modells but between my husband and son the Christmas list brought me to the store on Tarrytown rd. Both visits I found the floor & cashier staff to be friendly and proactively helpful. It was a pleasant surprise.

Went in the store on a Sunday evening to buy my son cleats. At 7:50 pm, the fights started being shut down and the any cement was made that the store was closed. When I asked one of the employees what time the store closed he replied«I guess now,». No service whatsoever! Port Chester store much friendlier and attentive. I don’t plan on returning to this store if I don’t have to!

The problem with sporting goods stores is that if you want to buy a Tim Tebow jersey or an overpriced football they are able to accommodate you, but if you ask the staff to help with something that isn’t something they’d land on if they tripped, they look at you as if you wanted to know the 13th integer of pi. I can buy round things, bouncy things, and things with names on the back anywhere. A place that specializes in sporting goods cannot be staffed by people whose jaws drop at anything harder than the aforementioned, then make you wait 10 minutes for mythical help that is even more experienced in the deer in the headlights look. Retail help used to be, you know, helpful. Now the only way to feel better about these unhelpful, helpless types is to watch a Maury Povich rerun. This branch is the poster child for these problems. And that’s no way to go through life.
