I’ve been to this deli a few times due to its proximity to my apartment. Each time I go I remind myself I shouldn’t visit again. Today I called the deli on my way there to order a sandwich. The employee who took my order did not understand what I wanted and expressed they would take care of it when I got there. When I arrived they did not have what I wanted, but still charged me full price for a sandwich that did not contain what I ordered. On top of that, today’s sandwich was hardly edible. I rarely write negative reviews, however today’s experience requires me to share their bad customer service.

Conveniently located on the first floor of my condominium complex. Great place to go for the basic deli needs — drinks, hot and cold sandwiches, and basic salad bar goods. Also, has daily hot specials. Delivers!

Affectionately called Big Joe’s by the locals, this small deli serves hot and cold sandwiches, and«wedges» along with your typical assortment of deli-related sides. Though portions, especially the wedge(Westchester county’s name for a grinder or submarine sandwich) are very large, the value is not as excellent. Each individual added topping(lettuce, tomato, etc.) costs extra so a sandwich can easily become very expensive. That being said, the daily hot specials, such as the chicken parm, meatball, and sausage and peppers sub are delicious and should be given a try. Also of note is the obscure collection of take out bags and napkins used by this deli. I’ve received everything from a wedding napkin to a Nathan’s napkin.
