Came into Toys R Us last night 1−7−16 to buy a pair of shoes. When I go to check out there is not one person on the 8 or more registers they have. Three Toys R Us employees walk by chatting and none stop to ask if they can help. The only person checking people out was a female at customer service. There was a line already of people trying to return things. I had to wait to pay for a pair of shoes. Very disappointing.

If I could give this Toys R Us location zero stars I would. This Toys R Us sucks!!! They never have anything. I’m a collector of STARWARS toys and NECA toys. Some Marvel toys as well. I know what’s out and which stores should have it. This Toys R Us location never does. I even got into it the other day when I was walking in and the Manager asks if he can help me. I told him, «Let’s see what toys you guys DON’T have today.» And sure enough, I was right. Sadly. I’ve been to the Toys R Us at Bay Plaza in the Bronx and they always seem to have a better and larger selection of newer toys even though the Toys R Us in White Plains is closer to me. Heck, even the TARGET downstairs from this Toys R Us location has a better selection in its few toy aisles. It’s a shame because Toys R Us in White Plains is in a very nice location. The store is brightly lit and pretty clean. But they never seem to have any of the new good stuff. Some of their walls are just pathetic. After the other day I will not be returning back to this location. It’s not like I buy anything anyway because they never have anything. Just a waste of gas.

A better Toys R Us option for the ‘lower Westchester’ area. That being said, I suffered for years and years with that horrid Yonkers location and aside from that grand Manhattan store, had resigned myself into thinking that all Toys R Us locations were as nasty as that Yonkers one. Well, one day I did the drive to White Plains and ended up inside this store and was pleasantly surprised. Well stocked, neat, pleasant staff — I couldn’t believe I was in a Toys R Us. I guess not all Toys R Us stores are as vile as the one in Yonkers. I was easily able to find what I was looking for, though I was asked by an employee if I needed help. The registers were decent flowing and there were certainly enough ringers even though the store wasn’t overly busy at the time I was there. Although I didn’t have much interaction with staff aside from the one on the floor and the cashier, it was an automatic step up from Yonkers — I’m sure it was a fluke, but I’ll take it. Items on the shelves were not only in the right place, but didn’t look abused as it does in it’s lowly Yonkers sister store. This is by far a better option than in Yonkers(so is the Baychester location — but that review will be coming as well). Prices are what they are — pricey but generally you can find items cheaper online(even their own website offers slightly cheaper prices at times) or perhaps at competitors. Located in the White Plains City Center(moved a few years ago), there is an accessible indoor parking lot and if you’re able, there is street parking available with a meter — but depending on the time of day, you might not be able to find a spot. Definitely worth it if you need to go to a Toys R Us. I live in Yonkers, but I’m sick of the experiences in that location — I would rather drive a few extra miles to White Plains than to be aggravated.

Whenever I need to buy my nieces and nephews gifts for birthdays and the holidays I come to Toys R us the leader in children’s and todlers clothing toys and games! I truly feel that today’s children appreciate when your box is labeled Toys are US it adds to the excitement of opening the gifts! When I was a kid I would just be glad to get any toy from any store. Children are much more demanding these days. You cant get away buying cheap chines tiys at convenience stores these days the Kids know! lol

We went there tonight(12⁄18) to pick up a few last minute Christmas items. We asked an employee about a particular item and she looked it up for us online because a customer beat us to the last Barbie something-or-other that we were looking for. She checked other stores and we decided to purchase the item online, which she did for us as we stood next to her. We asked her to check a price on another item and she said they’d match the prices online. I thought she meant she’d match competitors pricing but she clarified that they’d match their own online pricing! An item we were about to purchase scanned at $ 19.+ but the online pricing was $ 17.+ so she let us know to tell them at the register and we’d get the lower price. Bear in mind that she was kind, patient and VERY helpful — something you rarely see nowadays in ANY customer service driven industry, much less a toy store at Christmastime, and she didn’t even get mad that I took a lap around the aisle in a tricycle. She deserves a gingerbread man cookie for that. The cashier was kind of a little weirdo though. She wasn’t mean… just a little, well, it’s been said: weird.

This Toys«R» Us used to be on another mall they moved into this New facility across the street from Walmart, they were located on the second floor and the other mall no windows very dreary. But now they have more lighting and it’s very organized. The stuff is very helpful, they are aware of their customers and are willing to help. Very quiet store not too noisy Especially in this season. Going to customer service they’re very fast and reliable, and are willing to help at the drop of a dime. I have nothing bad to add to this location but keep up the good work.

Quite a selection but super hard to find anything here. Staff not very helpful either.
