Has a lot of neat finds but its dirty and very unorganized. Still the prices you can’t beat and I always leave with something nice

Okay, let me start out saying I’d give the new Listen Center 3 stars overall. The minuses– you can find yourself unable to navigate the racks due to a rabble of unsupervised children, mountain men who coo over some doodad that even the garbage man wouldn’t touch, and other bargain hunters who seem to swarm over any item you glance at a second time. I’ve called my spouse over to look at something to literally have three or four nosy people rush over to see what must be so great I want to buy it and they must also have it.(manners are lacking in some UV people) I’ve gotten some nice items. Other times the place is a mess Prices are also too high for a thrift store for many items. They also charge tax.

I should preface this by saying that I have been to other Listen stores and the Lebanon and West Canaan stores are much better. I looked at the glassware/dinnerware and it doesn’t seem they have much beyond what could be labeled garage sale/yard sale items but at higher prices. They do have a fair selection of clothes. I’ve gotten some good items there in the past. My husband and I have been all across the state at a wide variety of thrift stores looking for books, and honestly, this location prices their books much higher than many other stores do in the state or other Listens in the area. Also, the books seem to be in a state of disorder. Overall, the staff in the store is fairly friendly so there are no real complaints there. It’s just that quality vs. quantity and better prices would make me want go back.

A bit dirty and lacked organization, but some genuinely neat finds if you’re willing to dig in and get your hands dirty. I scored a Harry Connick, Jr. CD for .98 cents! Also found lots of neat vintage clothing for cheap. I would definitely go back next time I’m in the area. I went in on a Friday and items with blue tags were ½ price.
