What a wonderful find! We were traveling in the area and as an addicted knitter I always look for yarn shops to visit. This yarn shop is amazing. There is an excellent selection of yarn and the owner couldn’t be lovelier or more helpful. I was able to purchase some vintage flower buttons to add to the sweater I am knitting for my granddaughter and some hard to find cables for my interchangeable needles. This shop is worth a trip.

There is no place like White River Yarns anywhere else in the Upper Valley. I am a new knitter, so I called to find out if she offered private lessons. She said just come in and sit and knit and I will help you. Well, I did, and what an amazing experience it has been getting to know Karen and this store. Whenever I go, there are always several (at least) women just sitting there knitting and talking. Karen keeps many balls in the air all the time, helping, selling, answering the phone, and supporting the many people who come to her with many needs. She is an amazing person! Her yarn selection is great, and her willingness to help is unparalleled. Most of all, it is the most positive, encouraging store — full of love and a wonderful sense of community. I would vote for this store as BUSINESS OF THE YEAR.
