I stopped in their store for the first time. I thought the shop looked really nice, lots of product, very clean, big variety in equipment & clothes. I’m in the market for a pair of skis & boots. I was THE ONLY CUSTOMER in the store with at least 5 or more employees working in the store that I could see. After 10 minutes of looking at the boots by myself & being totally ignored like I was invisible, I gave up & left. When I’m going to spend a few thousand dollars in your business, I don’t expect to have to beg someone to wait on me when I’m the only guy in the store. I never saw so many people acting like they are too busy doing stuff to be bothered with an actual customer. I will not be going back!

The staff at this location and variety of merchandise at all price points really stands out. Chabot was really super — he was friendly and engaging with our young child and helped us with our equipment in and out of the shop when were picking up and dropping off. Matthew helped us with our rentals and he was also friendly and knowledgeable. Prices were much less for a daily rental than on the slopes, and if we had only known we could buy lift tickets there, too, we would have done that as well. Would definitely come back.

Buckman’s in Whitehall (RIP old Nestors shop) has a great selection of ski gear. I was in serious need of new ski boots and one the employees, Kevin, was extremely knowledgeable and patient. I couldn’t be happier with my purchase and the service I received. I also brought my skis in the other day and asked if there was any chance I could get them tuned up on the spot and they had ‘em waxed and sharpened in 20 minutes! All around, Buckman’s has a friendly staff, great gear and a price match guarantee (according to their website) that can’t be beat.
