I’ve eaten from here dozens of times, even back in the day when it had a buffet. Food is never bad, though doesn’t really stand out. I live about 2 blocks away and the convenience factor is what keeps me coming back. The shrimp toast could be great, but sometimes it’s way too greasy. Solid 3 stars.

This restaurant no longer has a dining area so the only thing available is takeout(also deliver). I ordered chicken, shrimp & scallop in a hot pepper sauce today and I wasn’t crazy about it. The next time I come in I will definitely order something that I know I like(General Tso’s Chicken, Sesame Chicken, or Chicken and Broccoli).

This is definitely my favorite delivered food. It usually is about 10 – 15 minutes from the time I call until delivery. The food and prices are really good. I have never been inside the actual restaurant, so I cannot comment on that.

My family has gotten Happy Garden takeout numerous times. Its location is convenient to us. The food is good – for what it is. It tastes just about the same as most other Chinese takeout places in the area, which(to me), is just fine. We just ordered it last night. We shared Wonton Soup to start, and I got the Chicken Lo-Mein combo. plate. I thought it was a bit silly that I got fried rice with my Lo-Mein, but I guess that’s what I get for ordering the combo. I do it because I like their egg rolls a lot: mostly cabbage and little of that rubbery, bright red pork stuff. I also liked that we got fried noodles with our meal. They’re yummy. The only complaint I can think of in our many years of patronage was once when we ordered on a cell phone. My friend called while we were driving, and I believe that led to a little bit of strain in conversation. The employee was then rude to us when we picked up the food. However, this was a one-time experience. Didn’t stop us from going back!

Let me preface this with«for a Chinese buffet». Keep that in mind when you are reading this review. The 4 stars I gave it is the result of a few things. First, it was cheap. The lunch buffet was only $ 5.25 per person plus tax. A soft drink was $ 0.75 with unlimited refills. So $ 6.00 for a Chinese buffet at lunch time is really cheap. I’m used to them being $ 6.95 to $ 7.95 without a drink. Secondly, the quality of the food was pretty good. It isn’t gourmet by any stretch of the imagination and definitely not authentic Chinese but the food was good. Thirdly, the variety was acceptable. This isn’t one of those mega Chinese buffets with 3 or 4 islands and a Mongolian BBQ grill. The buffet was one island with about 15 hot dishes, 2 soups, 10 different salad items, and 8 to 10 desserts(including 3 flavors of ice creams). So for a buffet place in Leigh Valley and for the price, this rated a 4 star for me. A good place to go with co-workers for lunch and maybe do take out but definitely not where you want to go for authentic Chinese food.

I used to eat here all the time, until I heard they were quite unsanitary. I have never gotten sick or had a problem though, but I’d rather not risk it. You can eat here or take out.
