Not sure where the negative reviews came from. If you want to see bad, come to the Walmart in Valley Stream! This one is like heaven on Earth compared to the ones I’ve seen lately. It was very clean, the staff(whenever I could find someone actually working on the floor) didn’t send you on a wild goose chase and the check out was quick. Bathrooms were nice and tidy and the aisles were free of clutter(unless you count this cute little girl who had random temper tantrums and literally rolled up and down the aisles). Of course we came for the sales and were not disappointed. Needless to say, we left happy! Overall: I’ll be back very soon.

While I do shop at this walmart for some things due to them being quite a bit cheaper, I do not recommend shopping here. I have often over heard the workers there complaining about their job and actually had a lady complain to me about her job when I was asking here a question. They never have enough cashiers so it always takes me longer just to check out than it does to do my shopping. I guess you can’t really expect to much out of a Walmart, but I have visited some that were much better staffed and cleaner than this one.

Having to go to Walmart tonight, I give them one star only. Saturday night at Walmart here is a zoo with people. The HBA section was filled with empty packages from people stealing, the bathroom needed major attention, and there were no employees on the floor so I left. I have seen seagulls flying around the entrance many times, and this is landlocked here! Should have gone to Kmart.

for a relatively new(ly built) store, this place has sure gone downhill fast. its a sloppy mess, the aisles are a mess and youll find empty packages everywhere. there was one time I wanted to get a box of hair dye, seriously half the packages were ripped open and all over the place. if you have to pick a walmart, do the one in Lehighton, or Northampton crossings. much less ghetto. oh and theres nothing like finding things like steak and milk in dry goods aisles. those don’t need to be cold or anything. do those get put back in the fridge sections when they finally clean the areas up? I hope not.

I hate going here. It’s always so messy. The cashiers are slow and rude. I’ve bought expired food before, so check the dates! One time the deli worker was eating behind the counter. So disgusting.

I’m from NJ and I grew up in the hood, but this Walmart is so ghetto, unorganized, understaffed, and the workers have no knowledge of the products they sell. Everyday that I have gone here it was packed with the weirdest people. You can post pictures all day to people of Walmart from just coming to this store.

Can I give it no stars? This is one of the WORST Walmarts ever! No matter what time of day or night you visit! I agree with everyone else’s reviews times 1000. This place is dirty, REALLY dirty!!! There is never anything stocked on the shelves and the shelves usually look like they have been hit by a tornado. Parents let their children run wild here with no respect for anyone else trying to shop. There are also no employees in sight and when you do get lucky and find one they either have no idea where anything is or they don’t speak English!!! Worst of all, they tore down the Sams Club next door to expand and create a super center. I can only imagine how dirty and messy that side will end up being. I would never ever buy food from here. I used to love Walmart when they first started out but most of them have slowly declined… really declined. However, I know it’s a bit of a drive, but if you want to enjoy shopping in a Walmart again I suggest going to the one in Lehighton. I swear it’s like the Disneyland of Walmarts. This place is huge. Not only is it big but it’s so clean you could eat off the floor(not that I suggest doing so). The shelves are also always fully stocked and neat. There are no children running wild and the employees here actually know what they are doing, most of them even seem proud to work at this store. Oh, and one other thing, instead of having a McDonalds they have a Subway. It just goes to show this is a higher class Walmart then the others lol. ****UPDATE****November 2012 I logged in a few weeks ago to a message telling me I should really update my review of this place since the new Walmart opened up. So I decided what the heck, I’ll go take a look. First I was surprised to see that they built an entirely new Walmart right next to the old one. I really thought they were just going to add on to the existing Walmart. The new Walmart is very big, just like the one in Lehighton. What I found odd though is the new store faces the side of the old one, and not out towards the parking lot. Not that this matters much, but it looks weird. What really mattered to be was how dimly lit the parking lot and sidewalk is while walking up to the front entrance. If anyone has been there you know what I’m talking about. It really makes you feel unsafe when visiting at night. As for the inside, the first time I went it was actually nice. Shelves were stocked and the grocery section had a nice selection of items. Plus things didn’t look dirty or messy like they did in the older store. However this was their first week upon opening so you would expect it to be this way. I went again this week though and I’m sorry to say but it’s already starting to look like the old Walmart. I came to do some grocery shopping and out of the list of 20 things I needed they only had 1. Just 1! And these were things I know they had stocked the first week of opening but weren’t stocked now. The place was also a mess. I needed to find some new bowls for dinner and someone had broken a few plates on the floor and no one was around to clean it up. That doesn’t sound safe to me. What if a child came by and stepped on it? Shelves were also messy and unstocked again, especially in the beauty isle. So while it was nice to see a brand new store it stinks they have already begun resorting back to their old ways. How hard is it to keep the store stocked, cleaned, and in order? This is all I am asking of you. My star rating stays the same until things change here. I won’t hold my breath though.

This Walmart is as bad as it gets. Like Jennifer P. said, it’s ghetto. Shelves are mostly empty and despite the constant restocking during open hours there still isn’t much. And sometimes prices are HIGHER than other locations!!! I had just left the Millcreek location when I realized I didn’t have paper towel. Must have forgotten to put it into my cart even though I was perusing it for awhile. Since I was heading to Burlington, I figured I’ll just pick it up here. Imagine my shock when it was a good $ 0.57 higher for a single roll!!!(I specifically needed a single roll for something.) And the customer service area is a small room to the left immediately after the entrance. Not sure why it’s so small since there are always a line that wrapped around the corner into the store. I always felt bad because I feel like I’m blocking the way for people. Unfortunately it’s also where the DVD/BR kiosk(Redbox I believe) is located so there are always people trying to squeeze by to get to their movies. The workers are more concern about what time they or their friends get off than helping people. It’s the one thing I keep hearing no matter where I am in the store: «what time are you done?» There are some hardworking people there but sadly they’re few and far in-between. And usually they’re struggling by themselves moving pallets around while other workers stand by talking or flirting. It’s ridiculous. I’ve tried asking for help at jewelry before and a couple people pretty much just tell me, «sorry I don’t have a radio,» and walked away. It’s usually the kid sweating bullets maneuvering heavy pallets through crowded aisles that end up helping me because even if they don’t have a radio they go searching for someone who does. Kudos to those who still know what customer service is. To the rest, Walmart needs to retrain them.

There really isn’t much to say. If i lived 5 minutes away from this Walmart I’d drive an hour to the next closest one. This one is just ghetto. Simply put. I’ve needed to go to customer service once and the lady was rapping about getting off of work in 10 minutes and dropping the f-bombs to her friends while making plans for the weekend. Also I’ve been there late at night hoping i’d avoid the riff raff — who was I kidding. The People of Walmart are insane. I’ve stood int he only line open and waited 5 minutes for her and count her draw and for two other cashiers to watch her do it. While the line was 10 people deep. Not once did she say«I’ll be w/you in a moment» or how bout this… say open another line while you count your draw? I swear they hate their jobs and they make sure we know it. I’ve had problems about the other ones too isolated issues but this one takes the cake of consistently reminding me why we should hate walmart.

I know I am breaking the un-written rule of reviewing a mega-franchise like Wal-mart, but I can’t help but write this review. I know many of you are big into finding local businesses in hopes of discovering a true gem of a place of business, but for me, realistically, with a family of 2 daughters I have to budget my expenses. And for me that includes making the most of my money at Walmart. With this being said this Walmart is a DUMP! For months now I have gone only to find this place understocked with empty shelves, and sorely understaffed. At night, you have dozens of people stocking items and blocking the isle-ways for you the customer… yet somehow… I find many shelves to be empty. And just when I really really need something, its not in stock, of course. The real pisser. Going there at peak traffic hours and having only 2 to 4 cashiers at the most! The lines formed are so backed-up it reminds me of NYC traffic when I lived thier. Customer service??? These are some of the most rude people I have ever met in a franchise store! No way should getting my kids Juice and Bread become a 40 minute hassle. They wonder why people take the drive to Trexlertown, PA to head over to Super Wal-Mart. I have no clue how this store is a profitable venture for the Wal-Mart franchise. Avoid at all costs.
