Chilly Penguin Frozen Yogurt

This is the closest fro-​yo place to my home and I’m so thankful to have such a cute little place around the corner.
They have a large selection to choose from and great toppings. The place is well-​kept and the staff is always friendly.
There’s also always a coupon for buy-​one-​get-​one free yogurt and I have never had an issue when using this coupon.
Check it out, there’s something for everyone… you won’t be disappointed!

I like it. It’s yummy and the owner, is very nice.
I’ve found this one to be a lot better in their variety as I am allergic to peanuts, and strawberries. The one by the mall, Cups seems to only put out the ones with those in them. He has a large variety of flavors, and a pretty hefty amount of toppings ranging from fruit to cereals. This places’ frozen yogurt also tends to stay more frozen longer. I also like it more than the polar cub, as that place sometimes gives me a tummy ache.
The Chilly Penguin is also very clean and the workers are very nice.

This frozen yogurt spot recently opened in The Whitehouse Mall (which is really a strip mall). Chilly Penguin fashions itself after the growing craze of yogurt places where you pull the handle yourself and add all your own toppings.
The yogurt choices are plentiful (I didn’t count, but it was approximately 30), and they allow you to sample before you decide, which is nice. I went with a vanilla and dark chocolate blend, with cookie dough, chocolate covered mini-​marshmallows, and white chocolate chips. I went to the gym today and put in an hour on the elliptical machine because of this. It was delicious though, I must say.
One word to the wise, however, you pay by weight, and it can get fairly expensive if you go crazy. My cup came to $ 4.50, which while not terrible, is more than what you would pay for a ½ gallon of Breyers or Edy’s. The two employees working the counter were polite, helpful, and very sweet. As for the interior, it was extremely bland and bare bones. I’d recommend they invest in an interior decorator and spruce it up a bit, because the plainness of the place is stark and noticeable. It is brand new though, so perhaps this is in the works. Nevertheless, a self-​serve froyo place is a welcome addition to the area and I wish the folks at Chilly Penguin the best of luck.
