Markirk Salon

Used to love this place. However, after buying a groupon for a Brazilian blowout I was told they would not honor it because I was not a «new» customer. In fact, I have had my hair cut there but never the Brazilian blowout. I explained this to the receptionist and assured her that I actually was a «new» customer for that service and if I liked it I would have it done there again. I was a loyal customer who has referred many friends there. But no, only new customers could use the deal, the one that I had already paid $ 200 for. Why, I asked, could anyone off the street get the deal but a loyal customer for many years could not? I was actually being penalized for giving them my business! I was told to contact groupon and get my money back. Can you imagine? Surely the salon manager would clear things up, right? Nope. So I asked to speak to the owner. She kindly called me back but proceeded to rant at me about how she was losing money on the deal and could not offer it to me. She told me she hoped she was not offending me, and when I told her she actually was, and was not letting me get a word in edgewise, she really flew off the handle and eventually HUNG UP on me. Sooooooo, a word to the wise… they don’t care about their customers, and they need some serious help in delivering client satisfaction.

I have yet to leave Markirk without fabulous hair. I live about 45 minutes south, but I will always adjust my schedule to have one of their fantastic stylists do my hair. The receptionists are super friendly, knowledgable and willing to answer any questions. I find that the stylists really take the time to find out what you want, ask a lot of questions and recommend styles that would look good. I very rarely trust stylists with drastic cuts or color– but I feel my hair is in excellent hands at Markirk. The salon itself is always very clean and organized. They use high quality products. Its just a fantastic experience overall!

This is a great place to go — appropriate for men, women, and kids. The service at the front desk is always accomidating and the staff is great. I have had several haircuts and I have been very happy. My wife and a few of her friends swear by the place as well. it has a great looking, relaxing, and professional atmosphere.
