After a reservation scheduled for 2:30 pm we were able to set off on our first race at… almost 5pm. We had to sit and wait for over two hours past our reservation time because the owner obviously doesn’t know how long it takes for groups to go through their races. Want to get your money back after sitting with your thumb up your ass and wasting half your day? NOPE! We were given the horseshit excuse that«our system isn’t set up for refunds» even though multiple people paid in cash. So we all paid 30 dollars for 3 races and got our first runs in between 5−6pm. About 4 hours after we left home. We were grumpy and over it as the carts continued to break down. We were finally given tickets for races to be used next time.(only for what you paid obviously, not any compensation for wasted time and shitty service) God knows they won’t honor it when we go back to use them so we most likely paid 30 dollars to sit on bleachers for 2.5 hours and then do a few laps in a slow half dead cart until it inevitably broke down. Seriously, this place is a joke. Don’t waste your time.

I came here for the first time yesterday, and while it’s a fun experience, I probably wouldn’t recommend going unless you get one of their Groupons(basically a «buy-one-ride-get-one-free» deal). **Side note: While Groupon has a policy plastered all over their website stating«Your Groupon is ALWAYS worth the face value you paid, even after the deal expires», the woman at the counter was not willing to take either of my friend’s expired Groupons, saying she would need to check with them about the«policy». This seemed like bad business to me. After spending a few minutes trying to purchase another Groupon and failing, the woman finally said if he paid up front for one $ 13 ride, she would give him one free. In my opinion, she redeemed herself here.** Prepare to come in close-toed shoes, long pants, a sleeved shirt and long hair pulled back, all in the name of safety. After making sure you are properly dressed for the occasion, you watch a two-minute safety video about their rules and regulations, and pick a used track jacket from a hanger to put on, as well as a helmet. Head socks are also mandatory and cost extra(grrr). After standing outside for a bit while the employee made sure the karts were up to snuff, we got seated and started. I ran a few slow laps to get used to the layout and then decided to let loose. My kart performed just fine. Before the last lap of our first ride, my friend had to drive into the pit early because of an issue with his kart. It had started to squeal at every turn and had been slowing down every lap. They employee apologized that he wasn’t able to finish the first ride, got him a different kart, and tacked an extra two minutes on to our second ride. Ride #2 started strong, but during the final lap, the same friend had an issue with the NEW kart they’d given him. One of the front wheels was coming off its axle and stopped the kart from being able to make right turns. This ended in my friend driving straight into one of the barriers because he couldn’t dodge it. So it seems to be a total shot in the dark whether or not your kart will actually perform properly. I’ll go again so long as I have an online deal, but will be looking for a better local option.

So dont waste your money because they don’t fix anything properly here. ANDYOUWONTGET A REFUND… We spent 3 hours here trying to do laps for 10 people, there was only 4 working cars then there was 3, because a wheel flew off during a turn. Before that the throttle cable got stuck on a different kart. Love that it’s outdoors but the karts are poop. The owner obviously doesn’t give a crap about his place or the safety of people obviously because if you get seriously hurt you signed that waiver… Don’t go here find a different go kart place.

Whiteland claims they are the oldest kart track in America and it boasts the fastest karts in the state hitting speeds up to 45mph. This is my 3rd visit and it’s exhilarating every time. Whiteland did not have sophistication of timed laps featured on a screen or jumpsuits as in Chicago Indoor Racing, but I payed half the price to get the same rush. So it costs $ 12 for one ride(~ 6 min), $ 24 for two rides, and $ 30 for three rides. They are closed during the winter and opens when it warms up on a unspecified date, I guess around March. This week we were just lucky that it was warm and the employees happened to be around. The best moments of the course: There happened to be a puddle, so I timed it to spray Amish with my back wheels.
