Who doesn’t like carvel every once in a while? My favorite is a simple vanilla soft serve with rainbow sprinkles

Yes it’s expensive, but it is NY. The people working here are friendly and generous with putting on toppings.

You know; it’s been around forever and a day. But You don’t realize how good it actually is. If you live in the hood you’ve been here a few times and if you grew up here, 100 times. Unless u caught the softee truck cause u lived by the park.
Soft serve is fine, if that’s your thing. But the hard is where it’s at. Right now they got the best pumpkin pie ice cream. It’s got nutmeg, cinnamon and marshmallows. They make it in the back. There’s like no places that make it, not around here. I gave em 5 cause they’re average is so bad, even thought it’s packed from temperatures of 75 and up. How does a place this popular get bad ratings? Cause parents and grandparents don’t Unilocal,and nobody looks up their rating, they just go. And eat it in front.

Horrible experience. Lady at counter was rude. I questioned her about overcharging me. Kids ordered a sundae which comes with one topping. Sign clearly states «any flavor ice cream and any topping $ 4.50». Kids ordered 2 toppings and she charged me for both. Never going back. The one on Francis Lewis Blvd is much nicer.

these guys are really nice. decent sized store, specials like wednesday (i believe) buy a sundae, get one free?
my gripe is their ice cream cakes. it used to be a true double decker, legit half vanilla, half chocolate. now it’s just plain half the height. for more money! how do you more than double your price? i don’t want to eat the nasty frosting, i want the ice cream part!
not the counter people’s fault, once again, they were really nice and i’ll be back just because it’s carvel and i love them even though they’re cheap. i will have to try the other flushing location and see if their cakes are the same. disappointed.

ive been coming here since i was born, my grandparents have lived in whitestone since i was created let alone say «fuck» for the first time.
The girl, mother, the boy and urs truly wanted to stop here before going home after spending a long over due day with my family icecream sounded like a sound idea.
there have been many different owners here in all the years its been open but im just happy something from my childhood is still open to make apart of my sons childhood.
theres not much to say about it, if u know carvel its carvel ice cream, fudgy the whale, bullshit bullshit bullshit.
i will say this there became a line and only one high school boy working the counter, he kept his shit together and his cool when the old pains in the asses came in and handled his business. but he was italian, thats how we get down. we handle our shit. most of us have been working in rests, pizza places etc since we were old enough to sweep. he deserved for me to tell him but i was busy cleaning my little shitheads mess.
Im glad to see the town is still nice and italian… i mean clean.
