I came here with a client to get some books. It was my first time here so I was not expecting the library to be that small. I agree with the other Unilocaler, I did smell an odor but I’m guessing it was the bathroom being that it’s right by the door. I was looking for a specific book and no one was around to help. There was a lady at the desk but she was constantly on the phone. When you come here, you’ll see a lot of young children with their friends reading or being tutored. This isn’t a library I’ll come to on a regular basis unless I have to.

Of course this branch gets an extra star for nostalgia since I went to the reading classes here in the late 1980’s when I was a small fry. Otherwise? You’re standard Queens public library. I always found this place as pretty empty and quiet(unlike bigger branches that can be zoos) with super friendly librarians. Granted, it’s been a few years since this branch saw my shadow, but I felt like it was always a great spot to get lost in a book/magazine for a couple of hours.

Smells. Smells real bad. And, it’s small. Really small. I used to love going to my neighborhood public library in Astoria when I was a kid… but I’m pretty sure I wouldn’t have if mine was like this one. Febreeze please!
