I am a regular customer here since 2003. In my opinion, they have the best American Chinese food and it is very affordable. You can get a full meal for about $ 5. The owners are sweet especially the wife. She knows her customers and is very personable.

Don’t bother ordering from this Chinese restaurant. The servings are small and over priced. They will also charge you whatever they feel like. I was bothered to find out that my shrimp meal, which I paid an extra $ 3 for EXTRA shrimp for, only had 3 small shrimp in it. I called to see if I got the wrong order and argued with the lady who took my order. She claimed there were 5 not 3 but she didn’t eat it. First of all, shouldn’t the normal meal have 5+ shrimp in then even more if I paid extra? Cheap. I was told there would be a $ 3 credit there for me but when I went in again there was no such note. Very disappointed.

China House is pretty much synonymous with UW-Whitewater for me since we ordered it just about every time I visited my wife while she was in school. It is what it is– delicious, fast, American-Chinese that fills you up fast. The menu has all the classics you’d expect, the portions are generous, and you are given the option of white or fried rice at no extra charge.

Went on Chinese New Year 2013 with the fam. I’d been craving Chinese food for a long time. The crab Rangoon we ordered was a strange yellow and tasted terrible. There was the distinct flavor of old oil and an overwhelming absence of anything reminiscent of crab. The beef and broccoli was also well below your average Chinese place fare as was the fried rice with its ultra dry chicken and noticeable lack of egg. The beverages are canned only. The staff was nice enough. Would not go again.

Orange chicken is classic, they use real dried orange skin. This one taste bests with white rice plus hot and sour soup. I like the golden sesame chicken with fried rice too.

The best Chinese restaurant in Whitewater. This place is far superior to the recently opened Beijing Buffet, you may not get the quantity you would at the buffet, but the quality isn’t even comparable, China House takes the cake. They are generous with their portions when it comes to the General Tso’s chicken and Sesame chicken. The fired rice is great and I’m always sure to get a order of the crab rangoon too, it’s delicious.

Better than Golden Wok in my book. This is where my family has been getting our Chinese food for years, and while I wouldn’t call it healthy, they definitely manage to hit you with less MSG and grease then you’d expect for rural southern Wisconsin. Don’t forget the egg rolls!
