If your look for horrible service and great bar food go here. If your looking for good service and unique food I’d recommend the Black Sheep. Second salem food is really good and ambiance is great but that’s all they have going for them, service needs a lot of help. Every server/bartender I have had has been super awkward and uninformative. I will continue to go back and give them a chance, but please, work on the service.

The Bone orchard IPA was very good. Wisconsin Burger was huge with the toppings and Mason said«in wad burry goob«(talking with mouth full) Cuban sandwich was also very good Solid performance from Second Salem Keep it up.

The beer was all over the map: The Pale Ale and IPA had some odd and sour flavors. If they were supposed to be that way the bartender certainly didn’t explain why. The Golden Ale was both light and flavorful. The Amber was far heavier than expected but was quite possibly most flavorful(and highest ABV) Amber I’ve ever had. The wings were big and cooked just right but the sauces were literally pathetic! The Caribbean Jerk was obviously out of a jar, too sweet with no heat and not even close to authentic. The Spicy Garlic sauce was straight Frank’s Red Hot with extra garlic — that’s it! Really amateur, no imagination, no-effort sauces.

Really bad. Service was slow, forgot to bring out our soup and salad, no silverware. When food did come it was cold. The we’re quick to bring beer though and it was ok. Would not recommend going there for dinner!

Waited a long time for our food. Others in the group did not get their soup until after the meal came out AND it was cold. No silverware, had to ask for it. My Shrimp Po Boy was good but fries were cold. Waited to get the check. Had to get our own to go container and took up or own checks to pay. Was not very crowded, so no idea why so slow. Nice atmosphere, staff was friendly.

Great prices, nice people, terrible service. After an hour after we ordered our waitress forgot about our soups and salads, brought our food out finally. All of our meals were cold. Then the soup came out and it was cold also. Terrible terrible terrible. Recommend getting food elsewhere.

We decided to finally to give this place a try. First off it was niosy, not a fan of the decore. Our server Kylie was awesome. My wife and her mother ordered the fish fry they were very happy with such a good deal. I ordered the beer cheese soup, here is when it went really bad. My main reason to try it was is that they are a brewery and have wonderful beer!!! But the owner decides to use canned soup and it was disgusting and cold. The owner has done a fantastic job with the beer it is in a really really good as I said before. But the menu is very boring and not well thought through. I know the owner he is a decent cook but needs to invest in some decent cooking ideas for matching his beer with good food. Christ invest in a good chef!!!

Descriptive phrase: brewpub with good beers, better stories. We came to Second Salem Brewing Company in downtown Whitewater for the beer, though they seemed to have a full menu of pub food too. It’s a neat space inside, with an attractive outdoor patio on the lake where we sat. For $ 12 we snagged a sampler of all 6 of their house-brews on tap that night. They were overall quite good, but the main draw is to hear the stories behind the names of each and all the unnatural history in Whitewater. Second Salem is serving beer with a side of the spook. Worth a stop by.

Nice atmosphere and food is pretty good. I had the greek nachos and they were great! My friend had the pub burger and said it was one of the better burgers he’s had in awhile. The only complaint is the service can be a little slow. They do have a nice outdoor patio.

Don’t expect to be wowed by the atmosphere — it’s no frills compared to other small brewing companies I’ve visited. But, I was glad that there was a new brewing company in town when I went to Whitewater to visit family. We had the Greek nachos — and let me tell you, I often find gyros too greasy and unappealing, but these were fantastic. the pita chips were just crunchy enough and strong enough to hold the weight of the meat, cheese, and toppings and the flavor of the tzatziki really popped. I had a Bone Orchard IPA and was very happy with it. I’d go back just for those Greek nachos.

Small brewery in the quaint town of Whitewater WI. They serve the beers they brew they also appear to have mixed drinks available, they also have a full menu. The place is really big. Two bar and seating areas, a patio with seating and a relaxing lounge area. Pool table, darts etc. Their beers are really good. Especially the Porter and IPA. Delish! The food was really good too. The walleye was very good and served with homemade slaw and tartar sauce(bonus). Also the chicken sandwich was excellent and the side salads were above average. I live an hour away and I will definitely be making the drive back.

We both got the fish fry. Pretty decent. Old fashioned was pretty good. Our server was very awkward and should not be a server… Overall, it was okay.

Beer was good tasting, we ordered ceviche which was a special and the cheese curds, the ceviche was warm and the shrimp tasted old, the cheese curds were over battered and greasy. Best advice don’t eat, just drink.

Had a fantastic meal, my burger was cooked great and service was very attentive and friendly. I was surprised at how good it was considering its in a college town. Great place!

I used to go to this place all the time for their awesome craft beer selection. However, since they starting selling their«in house» brewed beers they have really cut back on their inventory of other craft beers(understandably so). Their Second Salem beers aren’t bad, I just miss having a place in Whitewater that I could look forward to enjoying a rare or speciality craft beer. This place could benefit from having a beer menu, and not just a list displayed above the bar. If this place is committed to craft beer, their staff needs to be informed so they can properly suggest beer pairings with food and properly describe the beer types to curious customers. Food is good, though.

The beer was good the atmosphere was a little Spartan. Service was pretty good although they were a little busy had to go to the bar to get drinks there was no table service available or at least the night I was there, the focus was on the beer and not on the aesthetics it’s a fairly new place so I’m sure in time it will improve.

It is hard to find a good place to eat in Whitewater! The food was outstanding and the atmosphere was great! My only complaint was the service, but I think that was because they just opened. Once they get the kinks out it will be a great place! I am looking forward to my next visit.

Its Ok ! I Come here while visiting the son at school, its not bad just not great, last time the fried walleye was over fried which makes for dry and tasteless fish, the breading is not a typical breading its more like cornflake crumb breading instead of a Pub beer batter, the potato skins are good, I had the Cubano sandwich which was pretty good. I don’t know if its just me but the people that work here always seem a little off or not genuine(just A vibe I get) I have to say if I wasn’t with the wife(she likes this place) I would not come here. I just don’t get a a comfortable feeling when I come in here.

A great pour! Offering a great selection of craft beer and a good atmosphere Lakefront is the finest pub in Whitewater. Being attached to what used to be a family restaurant it’s fairly obvious why the food is mediocre at best, but yet acceptable for a small college town. Their brunch is good, their burgers are okay, but some of the menu needs improvement. The staff is mostly college kids who are very friendly but are at times inattentive, leaving you waiting awhile for service or are not consistent in attention to detail. Lakefront Pub is fairly new so it’s possible that some of the kinks may not be completely worked out. Give it a try if you are looking to have drink or are visiting Whitewater and looking for dinner.

Great place to grab a bite and a beer. My dad is the only one who ate but he said his burger was cooked perfectly, and the homemade chips were awesome. Only complaint would be to season the meat a bit more. The building itself was really cool. Only recommendation would be to renovate the bathrooms, they were a little gross. Our Bloody Mary’s were really good, I love love love when they put bacon in them. The beer selection was also great. Overall, if we lived in the area we’d definitely be back!
